THESE were quite a few celebrities to descend on Lucknow on a single
day! About a dozen small screen stars came to town for a performance
at Ganna Sansthan on Tuesday.
Shweta Kawaatra, Rucha Gujrati, Aashka Goradia, Mouli Ganguly,
Vandana Pathak, Iqbal Khan, Manav Gohil, Neha Bamb, Amit Tandon, Gaurav Gera, Amit Sareen
along with jodi no. 1 Qazi Tauqeer and Ruprekha Bannerjee. Himani
Shivpuri was also expected to be there but the organisers weren't
quite sure when she would land in Lucknow.
The press conference with the stars came to an end even before it
began, for these actors needed no introduction and the journos
present there were as keen for one-on-ones as the actors themselves.
But not everyone was equally sought after and only a few actors
were the focus of attention. Shweta, Mouli, Gaurav, Vandana, Qazi
hogged the limelight, while others turned to rehearsing for the show.
Surprisingly, the oh-so-confident Qazi was in a slightly nervous
mood before the interaction with the media and was seen asking for
tips from Manav Gohil to maintain his cool. Apparently, the budding
singer seemed perturbed with the questions being shot at him.
Ruprekha, however, looked poised and stuck around with Qazi.
On the other hand, Mouli Ganguly walked in late and began preening
for the cameras in her blue sweater.
Rucha Gujrati was among the silent observers, while Gaurav Gera
held his own and had everyone queueing up for a tete-a-tete with him.
Lesser known actor Amit Sareen also looked bright in his striped T-
shirt, but all that he managed to get were second glances, thanks to
his towering figure. Vandana Pathk, even in her de-glam look, was a
hit, thanks to her visibility on televesion.
Iqbal Khan talked about how the medium of television has evolved
in his 15-years-long career: "The exposure today is far greater for
both actors and viewers, thanks to 24-hour programming."
A little known fact
about Khan is that he started out as a model before turning to
acting!
Another interesting comment came from Gaurav Gera: "Women rule TV and
undoubtedly, they have a greater variety of roles at their disposal."

So Iqbal has been around for 15 years? How come he won the newcomer award??😆

If IQ has been around for 15 yrs in the TV industry
(which I very much doubt - don't recall seeing him on TV before Falguni's VDO) then I must say, he is Indian TV's best kept secret! 😉
(BTW ...The other secret has to be How Tulsi maiyaa, frm KSBKBT, can dispense so much philosphy on r/ships & not get tired!) If u find this out Plz plz tell me coz this dame makes my pull my hair out in sheer frustration...
