An inside on the ELAS crew lunch

Pet pooja: While cast members prefer home-cooked and therefore healthy food, crew members usually dig in to whatever the caterer serves After his discharge from hospital, it's more than likely that Amitabh Bachchan will stick to home food, after a few Lucknowi kachoris served at a function allegedly made him ill. So, what do stars eat at shoots? Ketan Ranga spent a day on the sets of Sony's Ek Ladki Anjani Si at Goregaon Film City and found out Lunch at 5 pm! Usually, the crew and the cast have their lunch break at 1 pm. But on Sunday, due to the hectic schedule, there was no time for lunch and people went hungry till 5 pm, which is when they could finally take a grub break. The food, served by Shubham caterers, was only eaten by crew members as the cast preferred home-cooked food. Assistant director Keval Shetty did not eat at all. "The production department orders the food and they try to serve the best food. But the health-conscious actors often avoid this food, as it tends to be oily and therefore fattening," said Shahnavaz, a production member. I prefer home food as I am diet-conscious and have low oil food. The caterer's food is not bad, but it is very oily. Sometimes I do order health food or brown rice during shooting. Vaishnavi Macdonald, Lead actress Today, I had some of the food served here, but I prefer to have home food as it's healthier. I don't say the caterer's food is bad but I like ghar ka khana. Kanica Maheshvari, Actress I prefer food cooked at home but sometimes I do taste the food here. Even though it is oily, it is yummy. Keval Shetty, Assistant Director Actor's ideal diet A balanced diet for an actor should not have more than 1,500 calories. There must be a proper time gap between breakfast and lunch. The perfect diet must contain carbohydrates and protein, vegetables and fresh juice in the morning. Lunch must be a well- balanced one, with roti, dal, and one sabji. Dinner should be light. They should drink plenty of water.

Hey Soni.. Its not that ELAS forum is un-friendly.. this forum just started over and its not yet been one month also...and you can see that the forum is not yet active much.. we have very few members here so we shud understand that we will not get as much replies as we get on other forums... once we get lot of members here we will get loads of replies on all posts 😊
