These days, Bajaj reminds me of yesteryear's anurag. Udi was correct when he said to bajaj "You can't shoot me, if you shoot me, how will u face prerna? you are unable to say anything in front of her."
Bajaj is suffering silently, taking in accusations for no fault of his, tolerating prerna and udi in spite of their obivious disgusting behaviour, and saying things like "yeh mere saath hi kyun?" That is so anurag-like.
He is facing Prerna's brunt, like anurag used to face. He is becoming the victim of prerna's major misunderstandings, like anurag used to be.
Bajaj is the new Anurag of kzk..
Ofcourse, there are major differentiators..
Like, Bajaj is not weak, not at all feminine, which anrag used to seem like earlier.
Ronit roy's acting is class apart. He is just too good.
Bajaj has retained his earlier persona- the oh-so-obvious manly attitude, the in-control demeanour, at the same time, he has added anurag-like qualities (like sacrifice, forgiving nature ) to his personality, which makes bajaj even better man now.
Bajaj is anurag-like in attitude, but he doesn't cry , he isn't much into expressing himself. He is suffering but silently. That is in congruence with his Alpha Male identity.
And Bajaj lives the concept of TOTAL COMMITMENT. He made a commitment to prerna 30 years ago, when he filled sindoor in her maang, and he is honouring that commitment till date. He made a commitment to udi, even before he was born, by taking the DECISION that a child will be born with the required bone-marrow for sneha, and he'll take that child's responsibility , because that child was coming in this world depending upon his consent. Due to that commitment, udi is still alive today, or else bajaj would have finished him. Tanisha's existence was unknown to him for 20 years, but when he found out, he gave her a place in his will, again- the COMMITMENT by a father to ensure his child is looked after, when he is gone..without doing injustice to his other children.
Anurag has never made or honoured any such commitment- to women or to children.
And what is happening to anurag? He has lost his earlier persona, and he has turned into something else. (No, he is CERTAINLY not turning into another Bajaj..there cannot be another bajaj). Anurag on one hand has lost his morals, by not opening his mouth when his mother and prerna were giving false statements in court to save udi. Now he is trying to outwit wife aparna, but what do u call a 'man' who has to spend all his time thinking of ways to outwit his once-demure wife?
this new anurag has only 3 pursuits in life -
1. Being obsessed with his 'blood' -, and putting bajaj-prerna into awkward positions by making public display of 'mera khoon mere bacche mera haq'. He LOVES to go n tell people 'mere bacche', and then correcting himself "i mean.. mr bajaj's daughter/son" Get a life anurag ! We don't believe you make this 'mistake' EVERY time so innocently !!! and Mr Bajaj really doesnt need ur son or daughter. He has his own son, his own daughters. He didn't need ur' rights', he just did a favour on those illegitimate kids because he is a great guy. Beg him, and he'll give ur kids back to you !
2. Fighting the ongoing war with his current wife
3. Being confused between the mother of his illegitimate kids, and his 'friend' of 20 years
I WAS terribly missing the old anurag..the selfless, sincere anurag who always displayed inner strength and a big heart. I am glad I found those qualities again, but this time, in Mr B.
