Earlier Kareena used to perform on her hit dance numbers at any bigwigs wedding party but now before the year closes by she made a New Year resolution that she won't dance at weddings anymore. She said that she is firm on her decision and has taken the choice keeping in mind the prestige of her family as dancing in wedding parties are not look upon respect.

According to a source, "Her decision seems to be influenced by her beau Saif. They are serious about their relationship and marriage is on the cards. Saif belongs to the royal family of Pataudi and this is Bebo's way of not indulging in anything that might prove embarrassing to Saif or anyone else in his family."

Kareena feels that being a youth icon and a top heroine of Bollywood dancing in wedding parties will lead down her prestige and reputation. She further said that she has taken the decision in the interest of her fans and her family.

u kno..this is actually a very well planned move...i think shes trying to up her star power by being exclusive...all actresses dance at weddings and functions, nd kareenas done it too, but now its cheap and unclassy because she doesnt need the money any more...i cease to understand her ideaologies because by saying these things shes taking pot shots at all other actresses that do...and all actresses do it..bipz, kat,etc..she seems to wanna be a class apart...and i mean she didn't have to make a public announcemet for this, it couldve been easily implemented without the unnecessary public announcements, i mean where was her families respect and all that before?

I think her dad doesnt like it. I guess its a lil different then performing at awards coz its more "profession" related than say, dancing at weddings.

And no, I dont think she'd go for the whole exclusive move, coz Srk still dances at weddings, so does Akki, and even Saif. Her own bf does it, so I dont think she will personally look down at it as being cheap, but her father prolly told her to just limit herself there coz she doesnt need to.

Such big stars dancing at weddings, sounds kinda weird.........

That is wonderful that she was so forthcoming about it. Well, good for her. I personally am not a fan of stars doing this sort of thing for the sake of art kind of a thing. Kind of like how lots of American actors and actresses don't do commercials domestically but abroad for money so as not to tarnish their image. Kareena is still the favorite of award functions this year and is doing well so she does not really need to worry. Saif doesn't have a money problem, but there is something within him about being financially secure for his children is why he does so many weddings. It is mroe of a psychological thing if anything.

I do not see whats wrong with dancing at weddings if she wanted to ..personally though like someone said i do not get why stars dance at wedding it looks and is abit cheap.Lucky for the people but its like say someone with a good job and money going out begging for money.
