It is difficult not to notice Ashlesha Sawant and her dressing style in Saat Phere. Her unique way of wearing a saree has become a style statement of sorts in the industry. Very few people, however, know that this unique style is a result of an accident that happened on the sets while ironing the saree!
The story goes that when a member of her personal staff was ironing the saree, he accidentally burned the saree. In an effort to make do with whatever she had and continue with the shoot, Ashlesha cut the burned part and wore it in a unique style to hide that part. The style clicked! So much that the producers and even directors wanted her to continue wearing the saree in that particular style!
