India is burning again after yet another ghastly terror attack. Public outrage is at an all time high. One of their immediate demands is to stop inviting Pakistan artistes and sportsmen to India.

Shekhar Suman

All Pakistani artistes should be banned forever from coming to India. After what Pakistan has done, it was a surprise that there wasn't a single civilian protest there against the terrorist attack in India. We can't go on extending our friendship to them to get bullets in return. Enough is enough. This time nobody is in the mood to forgive. We don't want to hear the name Pakistan or Pakistani forever. We can never be friends and that is final.

Rajiv Nigam (Stand-up comedian)

This is something which we should have done earlier. It's sad that it always takes a terror attack for us to open our eyes to reality. This isn't just about terror attacks but one needs to look into this problem with a larger perspective. Most of the Pakistani artistes possess no talent, yet for some strange reason our channels give them preferential treatment. In the process, many of our talented Indian colleagues are sidelined. I'm still clueless as to why Rauf Lala was preferred as the winner of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2. I'm not against all Pakistanis, there are few good artistes. It's unfortunate that they too will be made to pay for other's follies.

Shruti Seth (Anchor Comedy Circus)

I wouldn't really like to comment on it. I'm sure the Pakistani citizens too are as hurt as we are.

Mahesh Bhatt

Severing all ties with Pakistan is exactly what the terrorist intended. If relationship between India and Pakistan withers then this region will slip into chaos. We need to help the civilian government of Pakistan to fight their own homegrown terror outfits. Either we both make it through this fire or we both burn in it.

Khayali (Stand-up comedian)

I'm as angry as any other Indian over the Mumbai terror attack. My anger lies mainly with our politicians. Despite this attack, I don't think we should sever ties with Pakistan. Cultural and sporting exchanges help to bridge the divide. I remember the last time India and Pakistan played a cricket match at Mohali, there were about 10,000 Pakistanis who had come there. Then I had personally looked after their welfare by organising a free lunch. So, moved were they by the Indian hospitality that most of them were in tears. They admitted how wrong they were in their opinion about Indians. They promised to spread this message of peace back home in Pakistan and would urge their dear ones to change their hostile attitude towards Indians.

Ahsaan Qureshi (Stand-up comedian)

Severing ties completely is not a solution but in the interim this step needs to be taken. It's important for the likes of Shakeel and Rauf Lala to go back to Pakistan and tell their people that India has given them money, fame but what is it Pakistan is giving in return to India ' terrorists slaying innocent Indian citizens. If they fail to do so then we have to term them as betrayers. Besides, even if Pakistani artistes are banned in India forever, there is simply no dearth of talent here. As it is, the Pakistani artists only resort to vulgarity. These terrorists are not only indulging in inhuman acts but they are also bringing a bad name to Islam.

Aneek Dhar (Winner Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007)

It does hurt when we shower so much love on Pakistani artistes but their people carry out violence against us. Pakistanis are sought after by music directors and production companies in India. It will be sad if Rahat Fateh Ali Khan can't perform here.

You can't put an end to terrorism by banning Pakistani artistes in India. The only way they can be eliminated is through bullets. Every citizen should be given ammunition to guard themselves against these terrorists.

Salil Ankola (cricketer-turned-actor)

The statements made by Pakistani officials where they've declared that they will not hand over any accused to India has left us with no option but to sever all ties with Pakistan. For far too long, they've been harbouring terrorists. Indo-Pak cricket matches are a great contest but there are far more important things in life than any cricket match or TV shows.

Guys, I think some views can offend the Pakistanis. Pakistanis are as hurt as the Indians are. It's not fair, from india's side to ban pakistani artists, because they have done nothing. They didn't plan the attack or anything. They are just normal people like you and mein the pursuit of their dreams. They didn't do anything. That's why India shouldn't take such an unfair decision. We shouldn't take our anger out on the normal people of Pakistan. We should take our anger out on the terrorist organizations who are destroying islam and pakistan by spreading terrorism. Only those people and organizations should be punished and banned from this world!! I hope they go through the hardest punishments of all. If India and Pakistan want to bring these attacks under control, then they should stay united, rather than blaming each other. If India and Pak get together to improve the security system, and to destroy these terrorist organizations, then a lot can be done. They should realize that people like terrorists don't want friendship between india and pakistan. If India bans all pakistani artists, then the terrorists would be successful in their goals. They would be happy for that. I was really offended by shekhar suman's comments, though i am not a pakistani. He shouldn't have blamed pakistan, but he should have blamed the terrorists who planned such an attack. Why should the rest of the civilian population in Pakistan suffer because of some uncultured beasts? Is this fair? What's the fault of the pakistani artists who come to india in the pursuit of their dreams? Is it because they are Pakistani muslims?
Guys, just imagine, how would you feel, if India was in place of pakistan and pakistan was in place of india? What if someone said, ban all the indian artists. They should be banned from entering india and won't be allowed to pursue their talents? Would that not offend you guys? The same way, Pakistanis are just as hurt as Indians. One thing that we all should realize is that every country has good and bad in it. The country is not a bad place at all. It's some uncivilized people who make the country as sick as hell. so, I think it's time pakistani and indian government stopped blaming each other and took some serious actions to destroy these terrorist organizations. In conclusion, it will be unfair to ban pakistani artists, because they have no hand in this attack. So why should they suffer for sth they didn't do?I totally agree with Mahesh Bhatt!! I just want to say hats off to him. He has said it all!!👏Also, somecomedian said sth like most Pakistanis don't even possess any talent. Why was that? If he has harsh comments against pakistanis, then he should just keep it to himself. What if somebody said the same thing about India? Would he tolerate it? no. Ofcourse not. He should try to be empathetic. It is really frustrating to know that these peope are putting the blame on the pakistani civilian population and artists, who have no ties or contributions in this attack. Now, I am starting to have the perception that westerners are more empathetic than eastern people. At least Westerners have a heart and empathy to understand other people's feelings. The only bad thing about them is that many of them rarely stick to one soulmate. But overall, they are really empathetic.

One thing, I don't get!! Guys, how many times have I said we should stop bashing and blaming? Why do I still see posts that offend indians and pakistanis? Why? Don't you guys want this forum to remain peaceful? If so, then please let's refrain from creating more posts on India Pakistan terror attacks. Such posts always, some way or the other lead to a furious situation and more turmoil. Can we not have healthy discussions on topics like what should india and pakistan now do to improve their security systems and how should they be more aware of the operations of these terrorist organizations, so that they can destroy them. Can't we have discussions on such topics? That's because these topics are offensive to pakistanis. Now, please don't say india forums promote freedom of speech. Yes I know it does allow freedom of speech, but at the same time we aren't allowed to post things which can be offensive to any religion or race. What is Pakistanis created the same posts against Indians? How would they feel? Please be honest guys, can we not talk about the actions and safety precautions that India pakistan should take rather than breaking ties and fighting each other?
