I really will miss Jatin-Lalit. I love their music and yesterday's Shaadi episode (in USA) was not the same without them, especially because the start-off of the show was with one of their compositions. They were good mentors. Some may think they were over-emotional or wrong because they didn't make offers to any of the contestants for songs, but honestly I think they were good mentos and probably the most experienced of the lot in terms of music. I wish them lots of success and luck inh the future and can't wait for the Kajol-Aamir film with JL's music to come out!

Best of luck to you Jatin ji and Lalit ji! Your music will always live forever!

Me too! They made the show a lot more interesting. i know a lot of Saregama watchers dont like the mentors arguing amongst themselves, but sometimes, the music alone gets monotonous and you like some politics to spice it up. Jatin-Lalit, or at least Jatin, sure brought that element in well!

I'm very sorry to hear that they have decided to part ways, but I'm sure they will honor their committments which they accepted as a team and not short change anybody. I absolutely love the "Chalte Chalte" soundtrack, which features the music of JL as well as AS. Here's hoping JL come out with more brilliant stuff like that. And what an honor to do the music for the film that will be the comeback film for Bollywood Queen Kajol! JL, may success be yours!

I agree with you too!! It was just not the same yesterday without Jatin-Lalit and their whole gharana. I missed them and their contestants like Sharib, Swananda and I still think of Ujjaini as their student. They were good mentors because they had 5 singers till the end..

I also realized in their last episode, that Jatin especially, is emotional and does not hold back. That's why it looks like he's arguing... but he said there's nothing fake about him. He says exactly what he thinks...

Their music was amazing... so much melody and variety in their songs.

I thought all JL fans have quit this forum, your mails just rubbed the wounds. Please note that I'm also one of their fans.
I've followed each & every composition of JL since 15 years!! I love them since days of Yara Dildara(1992).
They started off under shadow of Panchamda, still made a lasting impression, many of their compositions have strong raaga flavour and they have freely used Bhariavi, khamaj etc.On the other hand many songs also have soft, punk rock & jazz flavour, absolute delight to hear.
I really cry in tears on their separation.
JL we will always miss you and support you😭 😭

I am so glad that there are otehr fans of JL here. I love their music and it
really hurts that some people in this forum have been kicking them when
they are down. Their classic songs will live on longer than this contest or
Rajiv.

so absolutely true. We Indians are always last to give respect when they deserve. They were recently awarded by BBC for the longest running sales (DDLJ)! in the history of indian music!
