Hey i agreee to all of ur points well written.... but trying to picture myself in his shoes i think he just wanted a place where people could live together i mean nothing wrong with that na it would be nice an look at today everyone has just gone away from india naale kehte we love india blah blah an never looked back but he believed in something an he was in the golden temple kar ke he thought it wouldnt be attacked people got to think deeply about it and okay the golden temple was attacked very bad but other gurdware was attacked also around the same time is that all his fault to shall we say.... but look at kids today yea they dont know anything about the religion somewhat think guru nanak is god... they really do ive seen it happen.... im born in england around that time an also heard stories from daddi ji how her brothers spent dayz in hiding people after them as well its really bad but i dont think the blame just comes to one person i tell u one thing it made people realise what people are like the extent people will go to even cross limits like go into the gurdwara just to follow orders a true sikh or even a person follows any religion would never have done such a thing an the army wasnt just hindu, muslims sikhs sab hai their duty mattered more to them than faith itself... an they said they had guns right even guru gobind singh ji had a guns in his time he was a warrior an he did things for his faith even killed people in the war.... but that was then an people think that was alright yeah... but if someone has a gun n doing something for his faith they get called terrorist BUT now hes being called a SHAHEED after so long why is that... all i know most sikhs kept getting used all the time if it was by the birtish their own goverment alwayz doing what people say is it wrong to have a place where we aint being used as such i dont think its wrong might have beendone differently but they was attacked even before they came in the temple people just have to believe in something today they really believe in or like an wont get it their way only then they can understand an having a gun coz of self defence nothing is wrong with that but the 84 attack did wake people up for sure.... Hindu muslim sikh friends may have turned on each other coz of it... i mean gosh thats just stupid... just have to think for urself n believe....

I agree with Sukhi I was raised in Punjab during that time and know the ordeals, Infact as a kid my cousins and used to hide under our beds because the gunshots scared us. Bhinderwala used to be a key person of Indira Gandhi's until he found out that she is not wishing well for the Sikh's that is when he retaliated and started fighting for a Khalistan. She was obviously ticked and had him killed off. He never wished bad for the Sikh's but due to the circumstances and the shooting at the Harmandir Sahib people started hating him. because they blamed him for the mayhem in Punjab.

yh sukhi n simran u both r correct in ur place too... but i actualli meant to say is...tht jst because of the starting like wen bhindera wala started the fight or smthg..smthg went wrng with the hindus... they thought he was a terrorist but thn yh he was helping punjabis as there was sum water problem in punjab and they actualli made it a big issue n things happened n so attacked the temple..n so punjabis got angry n did a gd thing by killing idira n thn later hindus got angry n they started burning punjabis alive in delhi......n i guess u must hav watched hawayien....
