Ganga River Birth???

I have found many interesting stories thru internet research & thru mythological serials...including Old & New Ramayan & BRC's Mahabharat!!!!!! These are just a few of the sources....

what i'm basically getting at is that does ne1 know the actual story of the birth of Ganga River?????

From BRC's Mahabharat...i concluded the Ganga ma was the daughter of Brahma...

Old Ramayan we see that when Bhagirath has long & hard prayed to Ganga ma...she tells Bhagirath to please Shiv also because the Earth wud not bear the fall of Ganga ma & that it would drown....& that ONLY SHIVJI had the capability to endure her descent from the heavens to earth from his matted hair!!!!! But Ganga ma is shown being flown from Vishnu's lotus feet....

New Ramayan, they show basically the same thing...but DONT show Ganga ma descending from Vishnu's lotus feet.....

Then in an online research....Ganga ma was very upset that she was asked by Lord Brahma had asked her to free the ancestors of Bhagirath & that in a state of rage she decided to drown the earth or wut not ( dont know if i have this correct or not so far)....but the Dev's pray to Shiv that only he can control this situation...which Shivji calmed Ganga ma's arrogance by letting her out in streams from His matted hair!!!!!

I guess we can say that there can be "different versions".....but i'm pretty sure that there has to be one valid story that is really out there which i'm unaware of......

So please please please...i request if ne1 knows of the Birth of Ganga River let me know....

small correction from the last sentence....Ganga ma is shown being flown from Vishnu's lotus feet ONTO Shiv's matted hair......this is exactly how it is shown in the old Ramayan!!!!!!

as far as i know tht river GANGA has emerged from a precious crystal stone at VISHNUJI'S TOE,from VISHNUJI'S toe GANGA got it's abode as BRAHMAJI'S kamandal (the vessel which brahmaji USEto carry in his hands ) ,
it is said tht when the crystal stone at VISHNUJI'S toe melted ,it gave rise to THE GANGES (the purest river on EARTH) !! from VISHNUJI'S toe GANGES went to BRAHMAJI'S KAMANDAL at the order of VISHNUJI ,😛

& BHAGIRATH was responsible for bringing GANGES on EARTH !!!!😊

thanks suniti anmd sita....for the info....
so Ganga ma.... evolved from... Vishnuji's feet, reside in Brahmaji's kamandal andhold by Shviji in his jata....
hmmm...all tridevs are somewhere related to Godess ganga..
