One of the advantages of reality shows for daily soap TV stars has been that they have helped them to discover their latent talents. For instance, Sony's Comedy Circus gave stars a chance to tickle their funny bone and ours. Two seasons later, a Swapnil Joshi and Ali Asgar, who were earlier known for their romantic boy/soft roles, are now equally feted for making people roll off their seats with their unique brand of comedy. An Urvashi Dholakia has left Komolika, her wicked, sassy screen ego far behind as she plays the dumb/funny/saucy counterfoil to Pakistani stand-up comedian Shakeel Siddique's acid tongue. Ditto Juhi Parmar who makes you go nutty with her funny side with equal elan as she makes you weep as Kumkum. Last but not the least, Kamya Punjabi who as Sindoora of Dulhann was negativity-personified has taken a chill pill with her comic outings in season two of Comedy Circus. We take a look at the funny five who, of course with generous help from their comic partners, have brought on the laughs
Juhi ParmarThe tragedy queen of the long-running afternoon soap, Kumkum, won the second season of Comedy Circus. While most of her acts have been splendid, her season finale performance of a Bollywood- crazy South Indian brought the house down. Ali AsgarIf not for his participation in comedy shows, we would have probably never got a chance to see Ali's immensely gifted funny side. Recently he took off on Amitabh Bachchan's Mohabbatein character and such a super act it was that we are sure even Bachchan would have approved.
Swapnil Joshi
A child-artiste who has grown into a fine actor, Swapnil says he can't thank Comedy Circus enough. 'Just when I was getting bored with daily shows, the offer to do stand-up came along. Believe me, now I sleep better as a satisfied actor.'
the remaining 2 isnt on the website, so have no idea who are mentioned
