5/11 Written Update

Hey guys; a brief update.

Swati takes the burning stick and refuses to allow Dharma's murderer to light the pyre. Shankar replies that she has no right to do this and the pandit says that this goes against their culture. Swati fills her maang with sindoor and replies that she is now Dharma's widow and lights the pyre. Sunny watches this from this car and happily reports to Ganesh that problems have started in the Singh family. Ganesh then questions Kashi as to why he was not informed of all this.

Singh House…

Shankar is upset about Swati and Gayatri tries to console him that everything will work out in the end. Shankar wonders whether he has lost Swati forever.

Everyone is seated to eat and Swati arrives in a widow's garb. Shankar is stunned and tries to approach her but she yells at him to stay away saying that he took Simran away from Shourya and Dharma away from her. She calls her whole family a murderer. Rudra tells her to change but when Swati refuses he slaps her.

She collects her coloured clothes and burns them in front of the family as she says that only white exists in her life now. Shankar is depressed and goes to his room where Gayatri asks him to talk to Rudra.

Shankar goes to Rudra and asks him to change for the better and live a good life. He points out that because of their business, Swati and Shourya have moved away from them. Rudra doesn't reply but thinks to himself that he knows who these words belong to.

Swati putting sindoor in her maang herself makes her married, and to a man already dead? Really? 😕

I understand that she loved Dharma, she is grieving, sad, upset, etc., but wearing widow's white?

Maybe she is trying to make a point (?), but honestly, doing all that (sindoor, white clothing) just seems, wellll ... sorta ridiculous. 🤔
