Suguna and Anandi are soaking their feet in soapy water...giving themselves a desi-pedicure. Suguna tells Anandi that her bheend told her about all this. They talk about going to the "haat" (I think its a mela or something). Sumitra comes just then to tell Anandi that Phooli and her parents have come to visit her. Anandi runs down to meet her. She talks to Phooli dime a dozen. Bhairav and Sumitra watch on happily. Anandi drags Phooli away to show the house. Maasa comes in with Basanth. She asks Phooli's parents about their visit. She doesn't seem happy about their visit. They tell Maasa that they were going to be in the same village from now on and that they had bought some land for farming. Maasa and Basanth look at them sarcastically.
Anandi shows Phooli around and shows her the TV. Phooli tells Anandi that her new house very small. Anandi tells Phooli to come to her house every morning and leave in the evening to sleep. She tells Phooli to come along to the fair the next day with her and Suguna.
Phooli comes down as her parents are ready to leave. Maasa tells Phooli that she is very unfortunate. She should be in limits and not be happy and prancing around. Everyone looks on. Anandi tells Phooli's parents to send Phooli everyday. Maasa doesn't like this. After they leave, Maasa tells Bhairav not to mix around with these small people. Bhairav tries to brush it off. But Maasa and Basanth keep commenting about them and warn Bhairav to stay away from these people as they are very greedy etc. She tells Bhairav to tell Anandi to stay away from Phooli.
Everyone is eating dinner minus Gehna. Suguna comes there to inform Maasa that Thaisa doesn't want to eat since she is not hungry. Basanth is abt to get up to "take care" of Gehna. Maasa stops him and tells Sumitra to give food to Gehna in her room. Everybody is surprised. Maasa tells Sumitra to somehow make Gehna to eat her food. Maasa thinks to herself that she will make sure that Gehna is finally brought to her senses
