I wanted to be a little creative with the choices.😛

Recently, it has come into discussions whether or not Debina would be good as Panchali Devi. She's doing an awesome job as Sitaji.😃 Nothing is being said against that, but what's your opinion about her as the fiery goddess Draupadi?

My opinion is that she would be really good as Draupadi.😛 It would just make me love her so much more if the Sagars do a Mahabharat with Debina as Draupadi.😃

Sita as per valmiki Ramayan did had anger. Why u want Sita to remain weak meek n weeping before Ravan? Sita did had anger

How much u know abt draupadi? Both Sita n Draupadi showed their anger when it was necessary. They were really brave ladies.

Why u want Sita to be polite before Ravan weeping all the time. Debina is nicely protraying Valmiki's Sita

I think Debina would be really good in Draupadi's role.

And Purvi, why are you angry with SitaLakshmi? She didn't say anything against Sitaji's character. She only asked whether she would be good as Draupadi.

This discussion has been going on for so long it's getting old. We've already been through this, so why are you bringing it up again when SitaLakshmi said nothing? But now that you did bring it up, here's my opinion (which has been stated many a times).

*Sitaji definitely had anger, and she was never meek and weak before Ravan. All of you who are implying that Sitaji was weepy in front of Ravan in the older Ramayana are wrong. See all the scenes. In front of Ravan, the old Sitaji was always brave, angry, and kept her pride. Of course she cried, but that was only when Ravan was away. She never cried or showed weakness in front of Ravan.

Sitaji was supposed to cry in front of Mata Trijata, who was her friend and well wisher. Still, that's not showing weakness, because every human being in times of trouble cries and breaks down. It is a human characteristic. From those tears, bravery/courage is born. Saying Sita never cried is wrong, because as a human, she too showed her feelings, but not before Dusht Ravan. I agree completely that she never cried in front of Ravan, but I don't agree that the older Sitaji cried in front of Ravan, because she didn't.

Here is a link to a scene in the older Ramayan during the monsoon season. Sitaji cried in that part, because (as it says in the book), the monsoon brought feelings of love in people, and Sitaji truely felt the sorrow of separation from Shri Ram especially during that part. It wasn't showing weakness to cry during that time.

Lalitha di I never said anything abt Deepika ji or her acting or how she portryed SitaMa's role. Did I? My reply was to them who r saying that Debina as Sita shud not show anger in new Ramayan. I just said that Debina is doing what Sagars want to show n Sagars r not worng in showing Sita's anger

Yes, I understand that you never said anything against Deepika, but neither did SitaLakshmi say anything against Debina as Sita. She just asked a simple quesiton, whether or not Debinaji would be good as Draupadi. SitaLakshmi even said that Debina's doing a great job as Sita, and that nothing is being said against her. She just asked whether or not Debina would be good in the role of Draupadi.

I think Debina would be really good as Draupadi, because she is really cute and pretty, and shows the strenth of a kshatriya woman really good.😊

Debina is a professional, an actress so she'll come out as a good Draupadi too, but whether the audience will accept her as draupadi after having seen her as Sita is a question to ponder.

Our audience (at large) has the habit of typecasting actors/actresses, remember what happened to Arun Govil, Deepika and Nitish Bharadwaj?? they never ever were able to shed their 'god' status.

As far as anger is considered , both were equally angry with their offenders but when patience and endurance is considered Sita is unparalled- She would have forgiven even Ravana had he surrendered to Rama 😊
