Its not very often that the acts tend to get vulgar. most of the time the matter is very clever and creative. But isn't the show rated and meant for mature audiences only.

I completely agree but what's why we as a family watch Comedy Circus and not the western comedians. As much as we would like to deny even the eastern families living in the west for generations have this sense of what's acceptable and what's not especially for the younger generation. Call it respect of elders or whatever, but we do feel very embarrassed watching the acts that are getting vulgar and obscene. I thought it was meant to be for a family to watch together. Maybe I missed the rating then.

Hello All,

Mahi has hit the nail on the head. The current scenario at Comedy Circus is personal remarks and perverted punchlines which is not difficult to decipher by the younger generation. What is more worse is that we have the guests and the judges (esp Archana) laughing in glory to their maximum vocal cords strength. Add to that, they are marking those vulgar jokes with points. So it comes down to that, that if your jokes are more vulgar and perverted you get more marks.......................cheee. Can't comey be clean with good play with words than the rot they are promoting now...........

Completely agree with everything you said, Vidya.... It's just shocking and unfortunate that people who do vulgar acts do get more points even though I think they are probably worth half the points.

Comedy is all done is good humour and nothing is meant to put anyone down or to make personal attacks at each other. These guys are professionals and they know what they are doing. I doubt if these jokes would be made outside the show or off camera.

So just relax, enjoy and have a good laugh. The show is designed to make people laugh and not take offence. Stand up comedy is not meant to make personal attacks at anyone. Its all humour, remember that.
If the viewers do not have any sense of humour, then this show is not for them. Just don't watch it if it is bothering you. Its as simple as that.
