Anoushka Manchanda on VOI
Ex Viva girl and much in demand play back singer, Anoushka Manchanda, will be seen as a challenger on Voice of India where she will compete with the VOI contestants thereby giving them a run for their money.
Last week the news that shocked all of us including the VOI contestants themselves was the entry of a new voice which would give the finalists very tough competition. But we were made to keep guessing that whose voice would that be, until we discovered that it was Anoushka.
Anoushka will make her grand entry by singing Naughty Naughty from the movie Cash, which the singer says is very close to her heart as she won the Stardust Award for the same. While Gajendrra Singh, the producer of the show, believes that her voice would shake the contestants and will make their journey difficult, the pop singer has something else to say.
"I am a part of the show now... from six the number has reduced to five and I am here. There is a lot of pressure on everybody and with so many good singers it will be difficult," says Anoushka.
At this stage when the participants have come a long way and are working harder to achieve their destination, is it really fair for someone else to enter the journey now? The contestants don't think so but Anoushka has her own take. She diplomatically answers 'life is not fair' and says that we need to watch the show to see how it all works.
Anoushka says she has seen a couple of episodes of the show and she truly believes that all the contestants are amazing. The fact still lies that Mallar is her favourite as 'he has lovely voice.'
Speaking about the judges, Anoushka says she likes Sukhvinder the most. "The way he sings, I think he has a solid powerful voice," says an impressed Anoushka.
The episode with Anoushka's entry will be telecast on Friday.
