I heard a story my Papa. Once Lord Krishna wanted to test the devotion of his devotees when he was in Dwarika. He called Naarad n told him that he is having severe headache n the royal doctor has prescribed him to rub the charandhooli of his true devotee on His forehead in order to get rid of the headache. He asked Naarad to give his charandhooli so that He cud rub it on His forehead. Naarad denied that saying that he dont want to be a sinner by doing so. Krishna also aksed His wives to give Him their charandooli so that He cud get rid of His forehead. But all His wives denied. None of Dwarka people agreed to do so.

Then Lord Krishna sent Naarad to Gokul n brij. When Radha n Gopis heard that krishna is suffering form headache n the only remedy is rubbing the charandooli of a true devotee of Him, they immediately agreed to give their charandooli to Him. They started rubbing their feet with lots of sand n produce a huge amount of Charandooli n sent it to dwarika

Then Krishna told Naarad, ' Gopis r my true devotees. They r not concerned abt their paap-punya. when they heard abt my headache they forgot themselves n their paap-punya. They were only concerned abt me unlike u. They have totally absobed themselves in me. They have no separate existence. Radha n Gopis are Krishnamayee in true sense.
