Hey sugars, has it been too long since we last chatted? I apologise. I have been too caught up with too much unnecessary work, but don't worry, I am back.
And with a bang darlings, I have to give you the dope on two major parties of last week- the 'Drona' premiere and Farah Khan's Eid bash.
Let's start with the Eid party. Why I was glad that I went was because I saw my favourite actress in the world, Rani Mukherjee. But I wasn't glad when I saw what she was wearing. It was a gaudy, and flashy at the same time, orange salwar kurta.
Is her career so far gone that Rani just doesn't care what she does any longer? It's sad because looking at her made me feel as if she was content being thrown out of the game. And those earrings, sugars, I can't begin to describe how sad they make me feel. Something has surely fallen far off from the tree.
But sad is not an emotion I feel when I see Gauri Khan. That oily face makes me want to die, and then die again. Shah Rukh looked good, but Gauri spoiled the effect in a white see through formless kurta to complement that excessively done-up face.
But the best looking there was Rahul Khanna, who looked charming in a blue kurta and white pants. Now this is what I call style. The Khanna brothers do set my heart racing with their puppy cuteness.
At the 'Drona' premiere, the first one I saw was Sonam Kapoor, who is taking her high-fashion image too seriously and too far. This dress doesn't suit her, and reminds me of a curtain that has been draped the wrong way. That too, a curtain that has holes. It's too funny. Sonam, can't you dress normal for a change. Keep all these dresses for the fashion mags.
Olive oiled Gauri khan re-emerged in full glory as she posed with Aish, Abhi and Shah Rukh. Will have to give it to her for that sexy black number. I hate to say it, but Aishwarya was looking good. Aish looked happy and glowing, and gushed after her family the whole evening.
The only person who managed to upstage Aish was Priyanka Chopra, whose extra short dress made sure nobody missed her one bit. For a prude like me, I think it's a bit too short. There were times when I almost thought of walking up to her to tell her to be careful that her underwear didn't show. Thank God no photographers caught her sitting down that evening. Tee Hee.
Jaya Bachchan looked extraordinarily fat in a really stuffy kurta. But then let's forgive her. She is an oldie and certainly not a goldie.
Last but not least, I saw Sushmita, who had worn black to make sure nobody spotted the oodles of fat. What is she wearing. Black is fine, but black like she needed to be mummified like that from head to toe! Does fat have to be covered like that? She looks puffy, and to think she is younger than Aish. Tch Tch. Until next time...
