Judges not respectful to contestants

Is it only me or did anyone else feel that the Judges especially Anu were not being respectful to the contestants? The way they treat these contestants is shameful and their remarks at times are derogatory. I really felt bad how they asked the kid from Uttaranchal to go straight home.
The judges act and behave as if they are the first citizens and these contestants are nothing less than POWs. Some one should teach them a lesson in humility.

Well it's not anything new, even in the previous seasons they were unnecessarily rude to contestants, Anu Malik in particular. Though when Sonu Nigam was there, atleast he didn't indulge in such stuff(well rarely if that).

What is Indian Idol without Anu Malik's attitude as someone rightly said in this forum. The quality of singers who come for the auditions are so bad, that i dont think he is wrong in sending them off...derogating them.
And i have not seen him derogate a good singer until now. IF the singers are average then he tells them something like "go home, you need more practice". He does not insult them as such.
I like all the judges of this time and kailash kher is a favourite......a gentleman.

Even if someone is a bad singer, does it give the judges a chance to be derogatory? Or use the kind of language they use? I don't know how you can find it justified. Respecting others should come naturally. It is because all these people who come to Indian Idol auditions that the show gets it's viewership. Anu Malik is a terrible singer himself, yet just because of the position he is in..people should respect him and not others?

true.. Anu Malik is not a very good singer.. but that's not his job, is it.. he's a music director.. and sometimes he can be mean but i think in the long run, it helps the other person.. as they would not go on a wild goose chase and be disappointed with failure.. instead they can follow something else that they are better at..

i don't think anyone should be degraded, the judges should use better choice of words when commenting on someone's sing, its ok to correct a singer and give them advise, but it shouldn't be done in such a rude manner, i think the judges go overboard

They indeed are very disrespectful .Anu scores the most in this category , he acts as if he is some big celebrity .Even when he walks into some room he expects people to stand .Infact the other day when one girl dint realise that people behind her where standing , and dint stand , the way he commanded I felt sick 🤢. That was really cheap of him. The saying Empty vessels sound much suits him well !!

I don't know, but I think he's trying to copy Simon Cowell from the British and American versions of the show. He acts the exact same way and his tone of speaking with the contestants is exactly the same. He may go a bit overboard, but it makes for interesting television, which is the whole point.
