Indian Idol winner Abhijeet Sawant and his wife Shilpa will participate in Nach Baliye 4

After winning the first season of Indian Idol, Abhijeet Sawant is now all ready to conquer everybody's heart with Nach Baliye 4. He will be seen in the show with wife Shilpa who is a ground hostess for a leading airline company.

When contacted, Abhijeet Sawant said, 'I don't wish to talk about it.'

However, a close friend of Abhijeet said, 'Abhijeet is very excited about Nach Baliye 4.'

Although he is no stranger to showbiz, this is the first time that Shilpa will be facing the camera and it took a lot of convincing from Abhijeet before she agreed to do the show.

According to the source, Abhijeet's family also took some time before they were convinced to let Shilpa take part in the reality show.

'Abhijeet's mother was quite surprised as it was for the first time Shilpa was going to be part of any show, but his father supported their decision,' said the source.

Abhijeet and Shilpa were friends much before Abhijeet participated in Indian Idol.

Abhijeet proposed to her several times but Shilpa always said turned him down. Eventually, Shilpa agreed and they got married on December 4, 2006.

Nach Baliye 4 will go on air on October 10.

I dont know what they are up to... They are bound on deterring the show's reputation... A show that was originally meant for "Celebrities"is now turning into any other show... Are these guys really celebs? Reality show participants! Give me a break... If nothing else, they are also getting the olympc medalist... At least make some criterion - someone who has proven over the years, known actors, or even cricketers was fine... Not every other boy or girl round the corner who is here today, gone tomorrow...

oh his wife is a very shy lady...jz wondering how she will cope with camera...she doesn't seem camera friendly.. anyways all the best to this jodi

sachin i think they r facing shortage of couples hence they r roping in anyone who is popular

I think Abhijeet would've been just a reality tv contestant if he didn't have 2 albums out. Especially one of his album that's entirely his own and not due to winning II. So that does make him a celeb of sorts, he's a pop singer! However I do have a problem with this jodi because Abhi was never good at dancing. 😕 I loved Abhi during JJWS but as a singer, I dont know why he's taken up dancing.
