I was thinking the other day, "I wonder which Ramayan movie is first out of ALL of them that came out." It is obviously a black and white one, but I can't think which one. In Telugu, I think it could be Sita Rama Kalyanam, but I don't know. What are your thoughts about this?

That was Ravan, not Ram, but anyway, you're welcome! And the woman was Mandodari, by the way.

I just researched on Ramayan movies, and I found one that was made in 1922 by Jyotish Bannerjee. But I don't know what language it was in. Even the cast listing is little: Patience Cooper, Bhagaban Das, and Mrs. Manelli. I don't even know who they were. I don't know if it is even in print anymore.

Never Mind. I found another movie called Lanka Dahan in Hindi which was made in 1917. Wow, that's a long time ago! In it, Anna Salunke is Sita and Ganpat G. Shinde is Hanuman, but for some reason, it doesn't tell who Ram is! Strange!😕
