Since many people have been asking I am posting a brief update. The update is till the 3rd episode telecast on Sep 3rd, 2008:(I havent seen the latest episode telecast on Sep 4)
The show starts off with Anjali who is a doctor who dreams of working in SBMI hospital. Her friend Neha tells her that there are openings in the hospital for interns. Anjali comes for the interview but is rejected by the interview panel. She is meets some creepy guy who tells her if she didnt get in one way there are other ways to get in. Anjali runs from there and is about to return to her home town dejected when she finds Neha had tried to commit suicide by consuming sleeping pills. Neha did so as she was expecting and thought her huband didnt want a child(which is true but not at the cost of her life).
Neha is admitted into SBMI. There a scared looking nurse Shilpa warns Anjali that her friend is not in the ICU. Anjali feels something is fishy and Neha's husband and she try to check but are unable to find anything wrong. Another character is Rohan who is Anjali's ex-boyfriend and a common friend of Neha and her husband. Anjali and Rohan had broekn up after she caught him cheating on her but now she is forced to meet him because of Neha's situation.
Actually something fishy IS going on SBMI and Neha is injected with something and she lapses into coma and shifted to the coma ward. Anjali is surprised and now really suspicious. To allay their suspicions the hospital's matron(who seems to be the main person behind the fishy happennings) asks them to meet Dr. Dev(the hospital's most eligible bachelor). Matron bullies Shilpa and Shilpa is forced to do illegal stuff as her brother's cancer treatment is going on in SBMI.
Dev takes Anajali and her friends to meet Neha in the coma ward. Anjali starts developing a liking for Dev. Dev meanwhile has just returned from Singapore after signing a deal to open a branch of SBMI in Singapore. They now need more interns and he recalls all the applications of the interns who had applied. He sees Anjali's resume and offers her a job in SBMI. Anjali happily accepts the offer to join not only because SBMI is her dream institute but also because of Dev and also so that she can look after Neha. Dev meanwhile is tormented by Sania who seems to be stalking him.
Other than the main story we have several cameos like Tanaz-Bhaktiyar in the first episode who play a couple about to have a baby. The second episode had Shweta Tiwari play an actress who is blackmailing a married director with her pregnancy and she extracts 60cr to abort the child. The 3rd and 4th episodes had Varun Badola who plays a rich industrialist who is terminally ill and has gotten himself admitted to the hospital so as not to have his family see him suffer.
