'I won't marry against my parents' wishes'

Well, the special Independence Day episode of Dus Ka Dum was indeed special for many reasons. With Yash Raj Films' Bachna Ae Haseeno opening across cinema halls this week (Aug 15), the film's cast (comprising of Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Minissha Lamba) attended the special episode.

Salman was at his best... cracking jokes, singing and dancing around all through. The actor looked good in his black suit and little ponytail. Minissha looked graceful in an off-shoulder orange dress while Deepika's frilly green dress surely didn't go with her personality. Whatever be the box office reports Ranbir was definitely a show stealer. His cool stage presence completely overshadowed his two beautiful co-stars.

It was an emotional moment for Ranbir. He thanked Salman for inviting him on the show and revealed, "I am glad I could come on the sets of Dus Ka Dum which is being shot on the floor-one of the RK Studios. This was the place where the dream sequence of my grandfather Raj Kapoor's Aawara was shot. This was the place where my dad's (Rishi Kapoor) Bobby was shot. And I am shooting here for the first time. It's a great feeling."

The game began with the knockout round between Ranbir and Deepika which she lost to Ranbir. On quizzed how she felt, Deepika said laughing, "It was pre-planned."

Later, when Ranbir was asked what percentage of people in India marry against their parents' wishes, pat came the reply, "At least I won't." Deepika echoed his opinion saying even she wouldn't. The couple looked very much in love.

While Bipasha Basu was missed on the show, Salman along with the Bachna Ae Haseeno gang literally brought the house down with his antics.

Salman being Salman presented Ranbir with a towel (remember his towel dance in Saawariya?) as a memento for being part of his show. Ranbir was not far behind. In fact, Ranbir bullied Salman to dance with him on O O Jaane Jaana. He also mentioned that his character in Bachna Ae Haseeno had a strong resemblance to Selman's on and off screen personalities, to which Sanman looked pretty embarrassed.

Whoever felt that two actresses cannot be friends should have seen the camaraderie shared between Deepika and Minissha. It was good to see Deepika egg Minissha to give her best smile for the camera. Even Ranbir showered equal attention on both his leading ladies.

Salman made the evening even more memorable for Ranbir by presenting him a painting of Raj Kapoor that he specially painted for the chalet he has at the studio.

As for how much prize money the trio actually managed to win… Well, let's not spoil the fun… what say?
