In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of this new Ramayan? For me, they are...

Pros

*The title song is really good, and the pictures the Sagar's show are nice.

*The palaces and gardens are beautiful.

*Gurmeet fits his role and is doing a good job.

*Like the old Ramayan, Ravindra Jain's music is enchanting.

*Mandodari looks younger than the Madodari in the old Ramayan (even I have to admit that), and she's doing a good job.

*For the most part, the story is accurate, and I like how they show the stories behind the rakshasas and lots of history.

*The Hanuman character is good.

*Kaushalya, Sumithra, and Kaikeyi did well.

*I think Debina improved a lot since the beginning of the show. In the beginning, I felt she was too straightforward, but now, she's acting good. The vanvas episodes really improved her acting, because I think that is the period in which it is really hard to show Sita's feelings, and she did a good job.

Cons

*I don't think Ankit Arora fit his role. For me, he looked older than Gurmeet. I don't know how old he is in real life, but in the Ramayan, as Lakshman, he looked older than Ram.

*The Ravan actor's laugh was very irritating, and too melodramatic. I think that could use a little improvement.

*In some parts, the story was a little inacurate, like when Sita slapped the rakshasi. I don't think she physically hurt anyone. Also, I think the whole fiasco with Ravan planning his wedding with Sita was a little off.

*Shurpanaka didn't look real life. I think they could have designed her costume a little better.

*I didn't really like how this Ramayan focused too much attention on Mithila, in the beginning. Because by doing so, they added a lot of scenes that didn't happen. Ex: Urmila and Lakshman meeting in the garden, Lakshman showing doubt about marrying her, the whole scene with the two boys (who claim to be Janak's sons) fixing up Mandavi with Bharat and Srutakirti with Shatrughan.

*Most of the songs were the same tune.

i agree wid all ur pros.but i never agree wid ur cons.

1.Lakshmanji is showing his effort.we cannot commend about him bad.

2.if ravan's laugh is not there ramayan story will b down. it shows his dhairyartham

3.i am sorry. if some one irritates me/ u v will give a tight slap.that she gave.ithnee days , vo ese na karega. they told about prabhu sri ram. that is the reason.

4.i don't think like that. she is perfect acting. and her costumes too.

5. i feel proud that sagar's ramayan always think extrems.that is bcz,they cannot move the story fast. it wont b intresting.so they have to extend/add new stories.

No, your reply didn't hurt me at all, because I understand that people have their own opinions. And they should too. If everyone has the same opinion about something, wouldn't the forum become boring? A little controversy here and there adds a little spice to life, don't you think?😃

Anyway, this Ramayan is good, and the acting overall is nice. It's just that in my opinion, every mythological serial has ups and downs. No serial is perfect, but if for the most part taken accurately, then it makes a satisfying show to watch, like NDTV Ramayan. In my opinion, even Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan and B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat (which were excellently taken), and every other mythological show out there has at least some flaws, because no director is perfect. That's what I'm trying to say. I am not running down this Ramayan (like some other people think. I am not writing down names) and I am not talking rudely about the actors. I am only writing down the pros and cons of it according to my opinion. Of course, there are probably tons of people out there who think this Ramayan is perfect, and I have no problem with that. If they are enjoing this show, who am I to destroy that for them?

I like this Ramayan, and Ioved the one twenty years back. I think it's a wonderful thing the Sagars recreated it, because in this day and age of the KaliYuga, some extra bhakti would be useful.😆

I agree with the Pros 100%

In the Con section, I would say, "I wish they took more time to go over the simple side stories etc.."..But with time and so many things to cover, I can understand why they breezed over some of the smaller items... Would be cool to have spinoffs or sequels to a certain aspect (maybe a mini series?)..
