Vaishnavi:

Vaishnavi had great interest in Mata Vaishnodevi from the early age of six. Eventually this makes her a great devotee of Mata. She also shares her knowledge of Mata through her preaching which motivates people to follow Mata Vaishnodevi.

Vaishnavi is an adopted child of Pandit Tripurari and his wife Shraddha. When their own daughter Sunakshi runs away with her lover on the day of her marriage, Vaishnavi gets a chance to show her gratitude towards them and accepts to marry Vansh in place of Sunakshi.

Vaishnavi's marriage with Vansh puts her into a world where she has to face all kinds of evil forces. She surrenders herself to Mata and sails through all testing times, performs every role neatly: best bahu, good wife, guiding/helping sis-in-law, working daughter-in-law. Here too she wins the heart of everybody through her devotion and preaching about Mata Vaishnodevi.

Sheel Kumar:

Sheel Kumar is the father-in-law of Vaishnavi. He is shrewd, cunning, diplomatic and a smart planner. As a business minded person, he notices the blind faith of Mumbaikars in religion and spirituality specifically for Mata Vaishno Devi. He planes to "use" this faith of people along with his intelligence and hard word to excel in life by using Vaishnavi.

Sheel is soft-spoken, sweet talker, articulate and charms people; also has the immense power to convince people on his own terms. He keeps his family together and believes in "using" them as per his comfort. He is quite smart in approach, plays long term game and never reveals his plan.

Priyamvada Kumar:

45 years old, she was the first elite lady to enter the Kumar's family which hails from humble background. She comes from a rich business class family and her marriage with Sabhya was arranged by Sheel himself. Priyamvada's father gave lot of dowry which helped Sheel to expand business and thus they became billionaires. Priyamvada feels that Sabhya and she couldn't get that much of respect, fame, honour and credit as the show was stolen by Sheel, even though it came out of money given to her by her father. That thing has stuck somewhere in her mind and now she wants all the credit, ownership, profit which Sabhya couldn't get for her as Sabhya completely disagrees to her theory. She has major complaints with Sabhya and thinks of him as loser and a pawn in hands of Sheel. Now, she is motivating and preparing her son Moksh in her battle against Sheel. She is quite a diplomat and doesn't even care about the rest of the family.  Priyamvada is very bitchy in her approach towards other family members-and is very negative and cynical.

Vansh Kumar:

Vansh Kumar lives a laid back life, loves to party around with friends and have fun, but is quite cultured, believes in God and has immense respect for parents. As he couldn't say no to his father's proposal on his marriage with Panditji's daughter, he ends up marrying Vaishnavi although he is in love with a girl called Natasha.

Initially, Vansh is also part of the rebellious group against Vaishnavi, but at one point of time he literally fights for Vaishnavi with people. Later he starts paying attention to business, understands the real culprits in house, and takes over from everyone to run business with an honest approach since Vaishnavi is always there to guide him.

Vidya Sagar (Punditji):

Vidya Sagar aka Punditji is 55 years of age and a staunch Brahmin. He is a bright looking, respected, adored and worshiped individual as he has a high self-respect, doesn't believe in commercialization of God, and no one can dare to buy him out. Punditji is a well read man of god and straight way links human being and life to God in addition to being a master philosopher, teacher of spirituality and karmic studies. A laureate in Vedas, Upanishads and other spiritual scriptures, he is head priest of Vaishno Devi Shrine. He is fortunate as his lineage has been serving as priest in the shrine.

He is old fashioned and firm believer in Dharma Practices that has been there for years. He knows that Vaishnavi is not his daughter and never accepts her as one. He doubts her lineage and questions her identity. Though he appreciates the spiritual acumen of Vaishnavi and enjoys pride of being her father, he never reveals it in open. He just raises her but without investing emotions. He later realizes her importance when Vaishnavi says yes to discreet marriage in between her and Vansh. When it comes to loving and raising Sunakshi, he acts as any selfish father.

Shraddha Sagar:

Shraddha is the wife of Vidya Sagar and is a very loving, endearing, sweet and motherly lady. She is the daughter of one of the senior priest at shrine and is well acquainted about spiritual affairs specially related to Matarani. She possesses all features of a perfect Indian house maker, but her only worry in life is that it has been 7 years and she hasn't been able to deliver a baby. She adopts a forlorn Vaishnavi against the wishes Panditji and loves her more than any mother can love even her own child. After 2 years of coming of Vaishnavi, she is blessed with Sunakshi and unfortunately dies while giving birth to Sunakshi. She takes a promise from Panditji to care for Vaishnavi even more than Sunakshi after her death.

Abdul:

Abdul is 55 years of age, looks like a sage, and is a soothing, calm and content person. He has a certain aura and attraction, yet looks older than his age. He is a Muslim by birth but is more knowledgeable than a Hindu about spiritual affairs and especially remembers all Matarani stories and moral teachings by heart. His ancestors have been working as a pitthu (person that carries worshippers/ travelers on their back when they are unable to walk to the shrine) in the Shrine Area. He works as a pitthu cum guide cum story teller and is very entertaining and very loving. He is the favourite of any age groups as children and old people just love talking to him. Abdul is very near to the family of Panditji and has an active role in raising up Vaishnavi. He is the one who interacts most with Vaishnavi in her childhood and almost works as her as Practical Guru who has answers for any damn, tough questions of Vaishnavi.

Ghulfham:

Almost 24 years old, son of Abdul, Gulfham is cute looking but in a comical way. He is light-hearted in nature and the childhood buddy of Vaishnavi who has been always there with her. For her,  he has wandered, moved around, and looked for answers to godly questions. He acts like a lieutenant to Vaishnavi as Sudama was to Krishna, yet never applied his own brain; analytical power. He is not that smart, ambitious and general as are the people of his age. Though, is a very clean, emotional and sensitive soul. Gulfham becomes the first student of Vaishnavi and she discusses spirituality, philosophy, Karma, God and rest of her self-mastered abilities with him. He is always there to listen to Vaishnavi and even questions her like a kid. Later, he comes with Vaishnavi to Mumbai as well. Gulfham is almost a humour break in our way of storytelling.

Ambika Kumar:

Ambika is the wife of Sheel Kumar and is a cultured lady who has been through the journey of life of Sheel Kumar. She is well aware of the conspicuous characteristics of Sheel Kumar and she knows that his tendency of saying "Jai Mata Di" all the time is not noble. Yet, she keeps an close eye on his plans but is not sure about it all the time. Otherwise, she is like any Indian cultured lady who performs all her duties without even an ounce of selfishness. Ambika is not that spiritual but believes in Matarani. She is the leading lady of the house and the house runs on her order. People are scared of her, respect her, admire her (except Priyamvada).Initially, she doubts the characteristic of Vaishnavi (as in she is real or fake) but later she understands her and loves her. Yash, her rebellious son loves her and respects her.

Moksh Kumar:

Moksh is 25 years old who is a dark coloured horse in the stallion of all white horses. He plays long term moves and is a real villian who seems to be very positive, but actually is dark and negative. He is a master mind and is ambitious, shrude, cunning, street-smart, focused, and pushes himself. He can go to any limitation to achieve his goal, since  he has become revengeful and wants to take the entire Kumars' business under his control. He has been told by his mother since childhood that justice has been denied to her and his father. He is on his secret mission and has been able to get things almost under his control before the arrival of Vaishnavi in house. All like him in house and he is dearest to Sheel Kumar as he sees his reflection in him and according to him has a good understanding of business. Sheel Kumar believes that Moksh will keep Kumars' flag flying high. Yash doubts Moksh, he thinks that he is 'too much involved in business' and has been pampering Vansh too much and it is because of that Vansh is not focusing much on work. After coming of Vaishnavi, he plays smart- because Sheel likes her and he too likes her but he sees her as threat because Sheel hands over certain power to her and makes her the decision maker in house. He tries to be very cordial with Vaishnavi but at the same time gets insecure about her overpowering impression on Sheel Kumar and thinks of her as major threat.

Sabhya Kumar:

Sabhya Kumar is a 50 years old, shy, humble, honest and introvert individual. He is content and satisfied and has never tried to push himself beyond. Sabhya is cultured and is a firm believer in Matarani. He is peace loving, tension-free, spiritual, philosophical and a humourous individual. He also believes, "Malik ne jitna diya utni meri aukat nahi...", "Jo hota hai accha hota", "Karam kiye ja phal ki chinta mat kar..." and these kind of theories. He has immense faith and respect for Sheel Kumar and believes his sayings are like "Amrit Vani" and his orders are like orders of God, and his achievements are the best to him. He spends most of the time in talking about achievements of his brother and he narrates the story as how his brother groomed him and this empire out of his sheer hard work. Sabhya ia a fan, a follower of Sheel Kumar and thinks of himself nothing when compared to Sheel. He often tries to calm down his wife and requests her not to talk ill about Sheel or his business and his majority of time passes in making his wife understand that "Sheel was never partial with him and all the luxuries, comfort, respect and honour they are enjoying is because of Sheel."
