Episode 2 (26th August 08)
Vinay decides to accept the bribe and give the money as dowry for Seema's marriage. Dubey is very happy when Vinay informs him that he is ready to sign the documents and accept money in return. Rubi unknowingly makes Vinay realise that he is about to walk on the path of corruption. Vinay declines Dubey's offer again. Kamla is very happy to know that Vinay is unable to arrange the money for dowry. Seema tries to talk to Shirish and asks him to convince his parents to withdraw the demand for dowry. Shirish refuses to interfere in this matter. Saroj, Rubi's mother seeks help from her brother with whom she had ended all relations five years back.. Her brothers refuse to help her and also insult her. Later Saroj's mother secretly gives her some jewellery which will help her to arrange Seema's dowry. Saroj and Rubi go to sell the jewellery and ask the shop keeper to give them cash against it. The shop keeper seeks Dubey's help to give them the immediate cash. Kamla chachi tries to impress Shirish's mother by showing her their wealth. Saroj informs Shirish's mother that she has arranged for the dowry but also requests her to keep it a secret. Some anti-corruption officers arrive at the wedding venue to arrest Vinay for accepting a bribe. Everyone is shocked when they find huge amount of money being recovered from Vinay's house. Ruby is in a dilemma whether to speak the truth and save her father from social disgrace or to keep her mother's promise.
