Yes but they are picked by the forum admin........who looks at your problem resolving issues etc !

Mods are decided by the admin and the global mods. if they thing u r desrving enough to be one, they make u one. hope that helps.

as in........... the Mods will see how you interact with others on the forum .Some people just pick fights and arguments , are rude and insulting . Some members who aren't even moderators may help out and resolve the issue. They will see how skillfull you are in these areas .They will judge by your posts , your responses etc !!

Also how active and how interested you are in the forum ....how much time do you already dedicate are some of the reasons.

nopez itz based on how well u do and if other GM/admin think ur deserving

but now pplz r usually promoted frm viewbie 2 mod and u can b a viewbie if ur active in the section and ur helpful and can manage the section..if u thnk u can do tht then i thnk u can request 1 of the GM/admin or ask ur section mod....if there is a need 4 a viewbie and they think ur deserving thn u can get the job
