Roshni Chopra and Vikram Bhatt
Roshni Chopra is all set to make her big screen debut in a lead role opposite Rajneesh Duggal in Vikram Bhatt's Phir. The film is produced by Vikram Bhatt and Surendra Sharma, and directed by Girish Dhamija.
The thriller is set in London and will go on the floors in a couple of months. When contacted Vikram Bhatt said, "I first met Roshni when she had come to interview me. I've also seen her in her TV show Kasamh Se and I quite liked her screen presence. Later, I thought of her when we were looking for a lead in the film. I suggested her name to my director Girish after he finalised the script. He met her and things fell into place."
Director Girish Dhamija said he liked Vikram's suggestion. He said, "Roshni fits the bill perfectly. Our film is a thriller and is based in London and Roshni plays a chartered accountant, married to Rajneesh who plays a doctor.
We wanted someone who would look Indian, but could carry off the role of an NRI based in London. We did photo session with her too.
These days it doesn't matter whether one is a television actor or a stage actor, anyone who fits the bill has to be in the film."
