Salman's Raj Kapoor connection
Salman Khan is passionate about most things – friends, films, fights and as it appears…Painting. He recently painted this portrait of the legendary actor Raj Kapoor and gifted it to his grandson Ranbir.
Salman who's a fan of the great filmmaker-actor, wanted to show his respect by painting a portrait and gifting it to his family. According to a news daily, he was just waiting for the right opportunity.
And when he learnt that Ranbir Kapoor&Deepika Padukone were to be guests on his show Dus Ka Dum on August 1, he was more than thrilled. Sallu immediately sent the painting to Krishna Kapoor, wife of late Raj Kapoor, for her approval.
Krishna Kapoor apparently loved the painting which was then sent back to Salman who gifted it to Ranbir on the sets of his show which incidentally happens to be on the first floor of RK Studios in Chembur.
Ranbir was not only surprised but also moved to tears (well, almost) on receiving the painting. The painting has now been put up at the RK Cottage situated beside the RK Studios in the same premises.
