I n last week's episode of 9X's Kaun Jeetega Bollywood ka Ticket, con- testant, Puneet, reportedly abused television stars. This infuriated actor Chetan Hansraj who apparently slapped the offender. Indrani Mukherjea, founder CEO, INX Media, says she will investigate the issue. "If it is found that Chetan acted without being provoked, we will take action against him," she asserts. Mukher- jea however denies that it was an orches- trated disagreement to garner TRPs. Pushed.. not slapped Chetan Hansraj denies slapping Puneet. "I just pushed him. Anyone else would have reacted in the same way," he says. About the average performance of the hugely publicised Kahaani Hamaarey Mahabharat ki.. Mukherjea accepts that there has been negative feedback. She adds that one can't please everyone. "Our research proves that viewers want a modern interpretation of the epic," she insists. No numbers please As for not figuring in the top three, Mukherjea snaps, "Anyone who claims to have turned number one or two in a few weeks is not being honest." She points out that 9X is still a relatively new channel as com- pared to Star Plus and Zee TV. "We're closer to Sony TV and NDTV Imagine in terms of ratings," she says. Mukherjea also informs that after Jiya Jale and Mere Apne, Dahhej will be the next one to bid goodbye. No, the show isn't being yanked off air, it's ending. As for reality shows, Mukher- jea says Chak de Bachche will be back, but in a different avatar.
