Akshay,Sports Minister & Navy Chief at the Special Olympics Inauguration
The Special Olympics for the mentally challenged was declared open by the Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dixit, at New Delhi's Nehru Stadium yesterday (Monday). Present on the occasion were (amongst others) Akshay Kumar - the new Brand Ambassador (for the Special Olympics), Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Oscar Fernandes, Navy Chief, Admiral Arun Prakash and singer Shibani Kashyap.
A highlight of the Special Olympics is that 10 special athletes from Pakistan are taking part in different events.
