Students and college authorities in Bangalore are at loggerheads. The reason: several students have been sporting Aamir Khan's Ghajini hairstyle in college much to the annoyance of the college authorities.

Aamir of course is not at all amused after reading the story 'Campus Fatwa on Ghajini Style' in Bangalore Mirror on August 3.

Aamir tells Mumbai Mirror, "I have also heard about this from my friends who are based in Bangalore. It is very interesting because this particular hairstyle was created after a lot of effort and experimentation."

Almost all the colleges in Bangalore have formally announced that they will only allow students to sit in the classrooms if they don't sport the Ghajini hairstyle.

What Aamir would like to know is why his Ghajini hairstyle should be banned in colleges and if it is in anyway interfering with the students' concentration when they are attending classes.

A source close to Aamir says, "Aamir has not been able to fathom why the Bangalore colleges are objecting to his hairstyle in Ghajini. What is so indecent about it? Any objection needs a reason. Is this hairstyle attracting flies? Is it disturbing the concentration of the students in the class?"

Aamir says, "I haven't yet figured out why the Bangalore college authorities have objected to the look."

It would be interesting to see how the college authorities in Mumbai will react if a similar trend catches up here. A few youngsters in Mumbai are already sporting Aamir's Ghajini hairstyle.

In fact, Aamir himself has been a witness to this in Bandra. Aamir confirms and says, "Yes. The other day when I was travelling in my car, I saw two youngsters on a bike sporting the same look."

The Bangalore colleges have a special request. They want Aamir to tell his college-going fans not to imitate his Ghajini hairstyle. "However, Aamir has not received any such request yet," adds our source.
