| Ranvijay Singh has come a long way since his biker days in Delhi. In 1993, when he participated in the first MTV Roadies competition, the youngster had no idea what he was getting into. "I joined Roadies because I'm passionate about motorbikes and someone told me that I would get one if I won," says Ranvijay . He did win and the triumph has catapulted him into the big league.. today he owns five bikes. Oh brother Roadies also gave Ranvijay a friend for life — Raghu Ram, executive producer, MTV . Raghu, his twin brother Rajiv and Ranvijay are more brothers than friends. "Rajiv has even made me his son's godfather," he grins. A true-blue Roadie, Ranvijay vehemently denies that the show brings out negativity in people. "Negativity is inherent.. we don't give them scripts littered with foul language. We don't ask them to be mean," he argues. But what after Roadies? "I've just completed my debut movie, Toss, with director Ramesh Khatkar," he informs. The movie also stars Rajpal Yadav, Zakir Hussain, Ashmit Patel, Mahesh Manjrekar and Prashant Raj. He has also worked in a short film, which was part of Mumbai Cutting and he has two others in the pipeline. On the personal front, Ranvijay is single and happy . "My bikes are my only love," he smiles. |
