I find it ridiculous that an actress who is above 30 should quit. IMO, I'd rather watch a 40+ Madhuri over a simpering twenty-something actresses anyday.

we indians are the biggest hypocrites around. we can have a 50 year old prancing around trees with an 18 year old and have no problem with it. but as soon as we have an actress get even remotely close to being 30 then we say she needs to say alvida to bollywood!

Thank you. I 100% agree. There is a huge double standard here. They are not tennis players, but they are actresses and being over 30 does not spell the end of their shelf life. Many of them look so much more beautiful than their male counterparts, who are still seen as suitable crow's feet with wrinkles and all.
