Sreejita have learnt how to cook

Mom scolds me for not chopping the onions correctly on the show," laughs Sreejita, who plays a chef in the show and adds, "Thanks to the show, I have learnt to cook Chhole bhature, Aloo gobhi and Tadka dal."

Ask her why her on-screen character was that of a girl disguised as a guy and she reveals, "Oddly enough, I could relate to the character. Annu wants to be a chef but is scared of being thrown out because she is a girl, so she disguises herself as a boy. Personally, I was also wary of being kicked out of the show since I was playing the lead for the first time and wasn't sure how the audience and the producers would like my work."

The things have changed now. Sreejita has been doing well and is in no mood to divert her attention from the show. "I have been rejecting the offers to act in Bengali films. If I had given my nod for the films, it would have meant staying in Kolkata and that's something I can't do," says the actress.

Recently, she shot for the show even while she was suffering from typhoid. "I couldn't have let the producers suffer losses. It's nothing but being a little considerate," says she.
