Shaan 'It is a great loss'

Ishmeet was almost perfect when it came to singing. He had what it takes to make a role model.

He was focused and he had all the right qualities. I have interacted with youngsters at various shows, but, Ishmeet was one person who was very confident, friendly and fun loving. His conduct on the show was excellent. He had a winning attitude too. I observed that with every passing episode, he'd push himself and face more challenges. But till the end he didn't lose hope.

He had a dream – to become a playback singer. When he shared his dream with me I told him, "Tum pehle ek good singer bano, phir playback par dhyan dena. He was also working on his next album and was excited about it. In fact, I got to know of his death from a friend who stays in Ludhiana and was holidaying in the Maldives. It was shocking. At first I just thought it was a rumour but later I got the news confirmed from my friends. I believe, Ishmeet was a talented person. His death is a great loss to the industry.
