This week i feel vindicated with my support for Harshdeep. She has a spark in her, no doubt JS was a great singer and maybe more consistant, but Harshdeep has the potential to give awesome performances. Its upto us, if we like a good consistant singer or a decent singer who at times can go miles beyond his/her limits.
I also feel that she being a female worked for her over JS since it is about team work and so RFAK has to think before picking a team, a team has to be balanced. Vakil, Abbas Ali and JS were similar moulded singers.

Further I dont think AR Rehman & RFAK would not have the music sense to judge someone talent and potential. ARR gave Harshdeep a chance to sing in RDB and her Ek Omkaar was very good.

Finally out of all Sufi singers, Harshdeep got the highest votes this week and so there are many like me who like her. I am sure now those who were questioning RFAK's decision are feeling a bit silly.

I am not 😛 ... i am still not convinced about Harshdeep and did not enjoy her performances all that much last week and would still hv preferred Jasvinder over her! And I wish public voting was really faultless! Alas i dont think so ... so someone getting more votes never, to me, meant that they are the better singer and I still stand by that!

Kiti sorry if I have offended you, my comment was not meant for you or anybody in particular. I just felt that people have judges her too quickly, I mean 2 songs is not good enough to judge the singer and say that he or she is no good.
I have also said that maybe technically JS was a better singer but then you do not build a team technically. I still feel she has the spark to do well. Give her some time, I am sure you will change your opinion on her.

Love,

Reema, pls call me Kirti 😳 and no i am not offended at all!!

You got me wrong, she is good! she is very good in fact ... the only problem is that all the singers in sufi are truly excellent and she is unfortunately pitted against some the best singers in the whole contest!! She was way better than the other girl Kavita in the sufi team! From a team perspective I dont know ...I was speaking more from a listener's perspective!!

Kirti, thanks for your post and clarification. It looks like a much ado about nothing. While on a personal level I agree that JS is better than her (maybe) but my point of view was only from the team basis. I thought since many people one forum and also on some news channel were critical of RFAK and his decision which I felt was fair from the TEAM pov.

Al said and done this is an excellent show and I hope it does well. It is different from the run of the mill shows. I was sick and tired of these film based reality shows with drama. Atleast we get to hear real music now.

I truly believe that its a loss of Sufi genre to loose such a talented singer like Jaswinder singh....one shdn't forget Jaswinder won 2nd MEGA FINALS of Sa re ga ma way back in 1999 (In which Shreya also won)and he was choosen by none other than the maestros like Ustad Vilayat khansb, Pt Shiv Kumar sharmaji, Ustad Zakir Hussain etc. I think Rahat sb couldn't recognise Jaswinder's talent or may be he was insecure that his Paki singers won;t stay long infront of Jaswinder onces the voting starts..anyway me and all my friends are v disappointed with the elimination of Jaswinder singh.
