Part1: Bali's demise
In Lanka, Devi Mandodary is trying on Sindoor when suddenly it slips from her hand and falls off.
She is scared. She keeps thinking that first those five ladies and now its the Sindoor, these evil omens keep showing. I must warn Lankesh about these.
She hurries to the courtroom where Ravan, Bibhisan, Meghnad, Akshar are all sitted together.
They are really jubilant over something.
As Mandodary hurries in , Ravan assumes that she has come to share the same good news over which they are happy.
R: so my queen you have heard the good news, I guess?
M: what good news?
Then she looks around and sees that even Bibhisan is happy. So she assumes t not evil
M: what my lord?
R: its time that our strong very powerful brother Kumbhkarn will arise, awake.
Mandodary is especially pleased with this news. She thinks: I will request my very strong brother in law to knock some sense in my husband over Sita. Surely he will not neglect the words of his so powerful brother.
Bali is in his death grief.
He is continuously uttering Ram Nam.
He gives out his last requests:
Please Sugreeb; take care of my son Angad as your son, shower him with your paternal care, I leave him to you
Also a last request, never ignore my wife Tara. She is very intelligent and competent. Her advice will come of help to you. She always thinks the right way.
Then he requests Ram that no one should ignore her and blame her for his sudden demise
R: do not worry. Devi Tara will be always respected and loved by all, just like before.
Now tara and Angad comes running with some of the followers. Tara falls on Bali crying like anything
T: oh my dear strong brave husband! Look at you now, what has happened to you? The strong man, is now lying on dust, get up, lets go to the palace.
Bali tries to give her some solace. Tara refuses to listen. He asks her to follow ram but to her only he is the lord.
Bali then requests ram to love Angad, to take him under his wings juts like Sugreeb. Ram does so.
Bali tells Tara: you are so knowledgeable, even so why are you so stricken by grief?
W have come alone? We will pass alone, that's destiny. Stay here, let me leave
Continuously uttering Ram Nam in his leaps, finally Bali drops down to death.
Tara shrieks out.
Ram and Laxman looks bewildered.
