Poonam's 'Maddad' for tsunami victims

Leading celebrities, socialites and professionals like Poonam Dhillon, Bina Aziz, Ashwini Kakkar, Rajyalakshmi Rao, Dr. Rishma Pai, Kayur Patel and Ajay Sekhri have joined hands to form a charitable organization, 'Maddad', to raise funds for the Tsunami victims.
'Maddad' visited the affected areas like Pondicherry, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam and Velangini, making things happen by donating fishing nets, clothes and other basic amenities. Today, an entire village has been adopted by 'Maddad' and they continue to work in tandem with the Collector, the Relief Commissioner and other NGOs.
'Maddad' has organized a musical evening which will have singers and musicians from India sharing the dais with their Pakistani counterparts. Talat Aziz, Louis Banks, Blaaze, Ustad Rashid Khan, Kailash Kher, V.J. Sophie, Biddu, Fuzon and Mekaal Hasan Band are expected to perform on February 27 at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Santacruz.
Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor and a number of Bollywood personalities are expected to grace the event. Boman Irani and Sophie are the hosts for the evening.
A press conference to announce the event was held on Thursday, February 24 at Grand Hyatt, Santacruz.
