Part1
Vedavyas is deep in meditation; Ganesh listens to his call and signals his mouse to travel. After moving through the entire universe (taking about 2 boring minutes) he finally reaches Vyas.
V: welcome, GAurinandan, I was waiting for you only. You are the only greatest writer and its you who can transform my words to a great epic
G: I have a demand, I will not wait for you to think, you will have to find and tell words immediately
V: then my lord, I too have a request, you must understand each and every sloka I say before taking it down.
G: what is so special about this epic?
V: I want to reach out to every human being, I want people from all ages to come and read the story of greatest fight, greatest lives, the outcome and the events for such a great war, I want the world to know it, read it and learn a lesson.
G: if that's so your wish, then lets get started. The sooner, the better for such a welfare.
Vedavyas starts his narration.
The story traces back to age old time and custom. Initially there ruled in India three Major dynasties. The Bharat , the Kuru and the Purvaj.
First came the great king Bharat who established India as a one great country. After him came Kuru. He was another great king. He defined a new way of Kingdome and kings.
Born to this great dynasty was a unique ruler, Shantanu. He chose a very unusual path of ruler, but he did not know where his path leads. Even Shantanu had no idea that destiny has chosen him to change the way history of India will be written…………..
One day Shantanu went for hunting. There as he was aiming a dear he stumbled upon a woman of unusual beauty.
He was astonished; he was bewitched by the beauty of the lady.
Even the lady was as mysterious as she can be. She made him give his self introduction.
A bewitched Shantanu asked her hand in marriage
L: I can, but first you have to promise me something.
S: what my beloved?
L: you have to promise me that you will never ask who am I, where do I hail from, what is my name. neither can you ever question any of my deed. If you do, you will get your answer but you will lose me from that moment, will you agree?
S: yes I will
L: think once my king.
S: I , Shantanu, king of Hastinapur, I promise thee that I will never question thee, never ask thee thy name.
The lady smiles.
They are eventually married. After a year, the good news that the queen was expecting was spread. Shantanu was overjoyed with the pleasure of having a successor. In due time the queen gives birth to a baby boy.
An elated Shantanu runs to the nursery to greet the mother and the son, the would be crown prince.
But he finds no one there, as he keeps looking, he sees the beautiful queen is taking the son and moving towards Ganga.
Shantanu follows. There he stood in horror as the lady lowered the child in water.
Ganga looks at the face of her baby boy and whispers: I have kept my promise my son.
Vedavyas explains to Ganesh that he may be wondering who the lady was, she was destiny herself, he was there to change the course of history.
