Daler Mehndi banned from Yash Raj

Daler Mehendi might have patched up with Aditya and Yash Chopra after their legal battle over the title song of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, but Yash Raj Studios continues to ban him from their premises.

Daler realised this when he was not permitted to record the song 'Jappi pa' for Money Hai To Honey Hai at Yash Raj Studios. Instead, he had to record the song at Empire Studios at the last minute.

Our source said, "Daler had specially flown down from Delhi to record the song but when he reached, music directors Nitin Arora and Sony Chandy told him that he could not record the song at Yash Raj Studios."

The source added, "Then, Daler was taken to Empire Studios to record the song. Incidentally, all the other songs had been recorded at Yash Raj. Obviously, Daler felt quite humiliated."

When contacted Daler Mehendi said, "Yash Raj Studios is very professional and will never do such a thing. I wasn't supposed to record the song at Yash Raj Studios anyway, because it was already booked."

However Nitin Arora, music director of Money Hai… confirmed the story and said, "I don't know why Daler was not allowed to record the song at Yash Raj Studios. We were told that Daler could not record the song there, at around 12 in the night. This was surprising since all our other songs have been recorded at Yash Raj."

It so happened that Daler reached the studio only to hear that he would have to record at Empire Studios not Yash Raj. Since it was informed at the last minute they finished recording the song only at 1 pm. Nitin added, "We had to book Empire Studios to record the song at the eleventh hour and hence finished very late."

We contacted the spokesperson of YRF but she did not revert.
