Hey, you guys!š
So this is my first Fanfiction. The characters may seem a little out of character but that's the whole point of FanFiction. Anyway if you like it please do tell me, so then I'll know that I should continue it and if not then tell me where I went wrong so I can make it better.
Prologue
23 students wearing hats, 12 of which were females and therefore by definitions wearing the better accessory. 11 Males were standing in the lunch line, 9 of which were displaying lecherous smirks towards any female they brushed up against in the line. Only two of these males had actually made a move which would do him proud and any stranger who may have watched the encounter would have certainly been very pleased with the method.
Counting, although his best friend would scoff at the very idea, was a way for him to deal with anxiety and in some sense stress too. It was so easy to lose himself in the world of numbers. At a young age he'd loved them, maths was by far his most favourite subject, well second to music but that was another story and from then on he'd discovered that numbers were easy to rely on, although one could never predict what would be the end product of an equation they were still easy to manipulate and wonderful to twist into something new. More accessible than human beings and, at least if he used them to his own advantage they most definitely wouldn't be crying over his betrayal.
2 Females had now taken a seat on the table to his far left, one of whom was clutching her chemistry book as if the secrets of life were depicted in the ancient pages. To his right 4 females had comfortably adjusted themselves in their seats and were eagerly tucking into lunch whilst chattering away animatedly. Two of the girls were pretty enough, he could tell that their look was one they'd spent time over making sure envious looks would be cast towards them, but it was the one to the left that caught his eye. She was pretty, but in her own unique way, slightly lost amongst the chatter, but that look appealed to him. She looked the complete opposite compared to the other girls on the table. In fact now that he took a quick scan around the lunch hall she was different from all of them. Her hair were inky black, and silky straight, he wondered what it would feel like to run his fingers through them. She had a lush pouty mouth, pink and kissable. He was surprised that he'd never noticed her before.
He turned to look at his best friend Raunak, who was busy chewing away on an apple, casting lingering glances at a certain brunette who was to busy ticking of the check board for something or another.
"Hey," he nudged him slightly to catch his attention, and he reluctantly turned towards him, displaying irritation pointedly.
"What?" he snapped, obviously angry at being interrupted in his latest enrapture.
"Who is that girl over there?" he asked, discreetly looking at her again, to give Raunak some indication as to who he was inquiring about.
"I don't knowā¦ā¦ā¦.Kasturi or something like that. Now leave me alone, I'm bloody busy." And he quickly turned away once again.
"How come I've never seen her before?" he asked, ignoring Raunak's demand to not interrupt.
He turned back at him huffing in irritation, obviously irked at the rude interruption... Again! "Maybe because you're always busying yourself with cheap type of crap, that's probably why", he sighed slowly, clearly giving up on his luring the obviously ignorant female, and carried on eating the rest of his apple.
"Well I'm going to talk to her" Robbie said confidently, as if he knew that she wouldn't be able to resist him and at that comment Raunak barked out a laugh, looking at him with amusement.
"What? Why the hell are you laughing? It's not funny you know, ā¦ā¦ā¦.I have appeal!" he argued, determined to not let that skunks laugh get to him.
"She won't even consider you. She doesn't even mingle with the opposite sex; it's surprising though considering the company she keeps. I'm assuming she's the nasty oneā¦ā¦.I think anyway" he frowned slightly, as if thinking deeply and figuring out this puzzle called Kasturi.
"Well, watch and learn because she definitely will not be able to resist my charm that's for sure. Plus, she doesn't look like a horrible person" he paused to quickly look back at this enigma of a girl and only just realised that she was now alone, and ā¦ā¦.surprise, surprise she was watching him.
He was starting to feel slightly uncomfortable, since she refused to look away but hell, he wasn't going to let Raunak know that. Raunak was now wearing a cocky look, obviously waiting for Robbie to make a fool of himself; well he wasn't going to.
He rose, making sure he looked confident and charming and slowly strode towards her direction. His gait held that certain oomph factor which always made people look at him discreetly, some even blatantly. She however was looking at his face, her eyelevel didn't even stray, and she slowly smiled once he'd approached her as if she knew a secret that he didn't.
She sat with ease, slightly leaning back in her chair, arms folded. It was a stance that he'd often held, but with him, it was always when he was about to dismiss someone.
"Hi, I'm Robbie" he said smiling warmly at her.
"I know" she said, still looking back at him calmly, her facial expression never wavering.
Well, that made him suddenly feel like an idiot.
"So, your names Kasturi, right?"
"Yes it is" again she gave him no indication as to where the hell this conversation was going. She looked very smugā¦.
"And I know why you're here" she gave him a charming smile before continuing "You see, you've probably just realised that I exist, and you must be wondering where on earth I have been all this time, such a pretty tempting girl right?" suddenly that luring enigmatic smile disappeared giving way to a look filled with disdain "But then I also know that you are Robbie, the most desirable guy in this whole college, who also happens to place bets with his" and at this point she gave a frosty look in Raunak's direction, "ever loyal best friend on who can get the newest, most wanted girl for that month the quickest, am I right Robbie?"
He was shocked that she knew all of this, especially since he'd never even spoken to the girl, ever! But he was also pissed at how she was acting all superior and arrogant.
"It's a pity though" She continued, not bothering to wait for his reply, "such a handsome face on such a sick, twisted person who enjoys playing with other peoples feelings. If I were you I'd go running back to your little puppy dog, because I don't have time for this" and with that she grabbed her bag and stalked off, leaving him bewildered and confused.
Never in his life had he been so embarrassed, humiliated and yet curious by that tramp all in one go. He quickly walked back to his table, ignoring Raunak's cheery smile and sat back down.
"You were right Raunak, She is the nasty one!"
