Salman Khan's Dus Ka Dum is actually rather popular with viewers. For once, the star is not sulking or scowling at the camera. He looks very relaxed and has bonded well with his fans so far. And game show addicts claim that the concept is rather novel and has them hooked. While, it's too soon to say, whether this show will be successful, what's nice is to see a more humane side to Sallu, who is seen lapping up all the attention. One overweight female fan went down on her knees and jocularly proposed marriage to him and claimed that had she not been married, she would have certainly married Sallu. It would be interesting if Khan manages to get his girlfriend Kat on the show. However, even channels are realising that that just roping in superstars is not enough to increase the TRPs so they are cajoling their star hosts to invite their friends for a 'celebirty special,' That's why you have Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja throwing caution to the winds and appearing together on Paanchvi Paas. However, Priyanka suddenly turned coy and has refused to accompany Harman to Salman's show. Wonder whether SRK had anything to do with this 'mood swing'. After all King Khan is known for his competitive spirit and he would not have wanted this exclusive star jodi to appear on yet another show together. Now with Akshay joining the bandwagon soon, it's bound to create another round of star wars. Meanwhile Rock 'N' Roll Family's grand finale which was held in Indore saw Ajay, Kajol, Tanuja and Tanisha make a family appearance together. While the former three have been judging the show for the last three months, Tanisha appears to have tagged along with them. She apparently split with Uday Chopra to concentrate on her career but that really seems to be heading nowhere. The poor girl, who plays AB's wife in Sarkaar 2 was unceremoniously bumped off half-way through the flick to pave the way for the Ash-Abhi love angle to emerge. And now, she has no films in her kitty. So what better way to garner some phukkat publicity than accompany her star sister and brother-in-law on their show? At least this way she managed to remain in the public eye as sis Kajol kept encouraging her to bond with the families. It's sad that many of these actresses whose careers are heading nowhere are unable to cut the umbilical cord and move on with their lives. They cut such a sorry figure with their desperate attempts to promote themselves at every given opportunity. Bollywood truly is a harsh world. |
