Questions on DMG

Hi, I started watching the show recently and don't understand some things in the story from a certain track - would really appreciate if someone can clarify - thanks :)

how is Ridhima Sister Padma's Daughter? and if she is, then why does she live w/ Shashank? Also, If sister Padma and and Dr. Shashank had Ridhima 20-25 years back, why did they never get married then?

Sister Padma was duped by a guy and left her pregnant. Dr.Shashank and his wife(who is dead now) adopted Ridz as a baby,...she got to know the truth only now. But she still lives with Dr.shanshank as he is her legal father,...and shashank and padma are getting married now since they are in love.

the one who padma used to like just used her nd padma became pregnent,
padma gave birth to riddhima, bt she didnt wanted riddhima to knw tht the person she liked just used her nd left nd that's why shashnak helped her by adopting riddhima
