Would you know my name
If I saw you in HEAVEN
Will it be the same
If I saw you in HEAVEN
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in HEAVEN

Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in HEAVEN
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in HEAVEN
I'll find my way, through night and day
Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in HEAVEN

Beyond the door
There's peace I'm sure.
And I know there'll be no more...
Tears in HEAVEN

-Eric Clapton

That song is probably in a wrong context here. All the same i found some words apt to the situation.

A few days ago the blue eyed boy gave us a mantra...to look beyond the trifle and live for the moment. If i may i would like to add to that another mantra -

'Move on from the past to the present and then revel in it!'

What could have been, what might have been is not what is it is today. And yet so many are working towards making a better today so that it may become sweet memory with a promise of an even better tomorrow.

This wisdom is coming from a mere TV serial which has decided to carry on with its show out of confidence and dedication to its cause which is to entertain its audience, provide a platform for talent and also showcase some creativity which is quite rare to see in the business. If a mere show is surviving on this wisdom and in fact puting in a extra effort to stay in the game then why is it that the audience for most of whom the show is a stress buster,an inspiration for creativity ,a reason for bonding with people across borders not able to move beyond what could have been and what might have been.

Manu-sorry for not being so subtle...

Brilliant! Just Brilliant! And subtle sooooo subtle!

Though sadly the irony may be lost on those whose acts inspire such brilliance from you.

Here is a not so subtle thought that has been in my mind from observing the sorry state of affairs on the forum.

"History teaches us that men and nations behave wisely once they have exhausted all other alternatives."

So as long as there is a petition to sign, a creative to call, a forum to post on, a fc to participate in, the campaign shall go on and wisdom will be a long time dawning.

Nature hath framed strange fellows in her time.

A very fine piece of writing, Dilsen..Absolute treat to read... 👏 Though I too wonder whether the point of your post will be 'found' or 'lost'..

Two quotes that I had a chance to set my eyes on somewhere:

"Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward."

"Accept fate, and move on. Don't yield to the seductive pull of self-pity. Acting like a victim threatens your future."

Sarah, wonderful lines....

Or maybe its just foolish optimism that there is light at the end of the tunnel...

and on the amazing part of it, nah, all I can say is that A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool

EDit: Thsi is not to say that I am wise (far from it!!) but could not find anything else which to my mind would convey what I was trying to say..

Shweta, wonderful lines and even more meaningful words...

They remind me of something that my dad always said whenever I used to get upset over things that I had done / not done and regretted later...If you want, you can choose to hold the past so close to your chest that your arms have no room for the future

BTW, I think these are awesome lines...something that is not always easy to do but one must try for really there is always something that is more important than that "fear"..

Manu this is for you

"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."

I saw it on the net and kinda liked it. 😊

dare I add "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Well this one for the object of adulation and the admirers to reflect upon 😉

Do I love you because you're beautiful, or are you beautiful because I love you? Am I making believe I see in you, a woman too perfect to be really true? Do I want you because you're wonderful, or are you wonderful because I want you? Are you the sweet invention of a lover's dream, or are you really as beautiful as you seem?"

Thank you for a lovely evening spent reading some really thought provoking and fabulous writing and also got me acquainted with some really wonderful quotes.
