'TV came to my rescue' - Article

Y ash Pandit may be a newcom- er on television but he has already tried his luck in the movies. The actor recently joined the cast of Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu thi as Lakshya (previously played by Pulkit Samrat). Quitting film Pandit was earlier seen in big screen bloopers like Mr Hot Mr Kool, Faltu, Rok Sako To Rok Lo and Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai. On his switch to the tube he says: "An actor needs to stay busy. I ran out of work in films. Television came to my rescue." Pandit believes he may not be a 'great' actor but says he is a 'fine' actor. He isn't into saas-bahu shows and hasn't watched much of Kyunki Saas.. Target audience The actor however, points out that the soap is immensely popular and though it has several youngsters, it's a hot favourite with mums and grandmums. He wasn't personally invited on board by producer Ekta Kapoor. But has been told that she likes his work. So it's the Balaji Telefilms soap factory for now.. but Pandit hopes to return to films some day .
