My observations and opinions:
1) Vineet- Surprising. I never thought he could sound so mature and refined, his cold did wonders to his voice lol. Personally, I don't feel he deserved full marks but it was one of the best performances of the night.
2) Ishmeet- Beautiful. I have to applaud Ishmeet for continuing to work hard. He's really improving his range and taking challenges. He sang the song with the right amount of masti while keeping the "surs" in tact.
3) Rahul- Soothing. However, I have to agree with the judges, he went a little overboard with the "harkats" when the song demands more control and simplicity. I don't think he understood the complete feel/mood of the song hence, he took so many harkats.
4) Debojit- Nice. Debojit had an average performance with some nice interaction with Mahalaxmi. Nothing special.
5) Toshi- Not bad. He sang some parts of the song with good feeling but overall, it was a pretty blah performance. At this stage in the competition, I would expect more.
6) Abhijit- Disappointing. I am a fan of Abhijit but the poor guy seems to be going downhill. Forgetting the lyrics is one thing but even his singing was mediocre. He didn't hit all the proper notes and didn't bring enough feel to the song. Hopefully, next week...he'll be back to himself.
7) Harshit- Painful. I think Harshit deserved much lower marks than he got. His rendition of the song was not fun but shrill, shouty and annoying. The song is supposed to be happy and fun but his masti seemed forced to me. He was trying way too hard.
