Olarte gives Daniel the news: Betty own Eco Moda. Armando tells
Mario he loves Betty but Mario convinces him that he can't break up
with Marcella and must send Betty out of town. She overhears and
decides to give the correct balances to the board. While she is
preparing them, Patricia is waiting for Nicolas to call and trying
to get the waiters to serve. In Mario's and Armando's folders, the
first page is a copy of the infamous instructions. Mario passes a
note that the balances are real and Armando tries to take the
folders back but Daniel stops him as he announces to one and all
that Eco Moda is owned by Terra Moda, by Betty. The truth of the
falsifications comes out, the role of Terra Moda. Betty and Armando
insist that in six months all will be well. Everybody is devastated.
The resignations of Armando and Mario are demanded. Betty offers her
and is told she will get no recommendation because her behavior was
unprofessional, if not illegal. Armando tries to protect her but
Daniel says this isn't the army, she didn't have to do it. She
leaves the board meeting, Roberto agrees to temporarily assume
control to get the business back on its feet (Daniel doesn't want
the presidency of a business in this condition). Armando tries to
talk to Betty in her office, but she leaves with her garbage bags.
Marcela insists on seeing what is in the bags and Betty convinces
her to let her show her in her office: all the cards and the
instructions. Betty leaves and Marcella goes back to the board
meeting where she calls off the wedding. Later she shows everything
to Armando and later to his mother who seems more shocked by the
fact that Armando was unfaithful with Betty than that he used her
shamelessly to meet his business objectives. Betty returns home and
packs; plans have changed and Catalina is going to Cartagena but
still wants Betty to come with her as her assistant. Betty leaves
her diary at home and Hermes sees her leave it behind. Betty goes to
Cartagena with Catalina and tries to explain what happened at Eco
Moda but Catalina tells her the past is the past.
Marcia tells Patricia, devastated by the loss of her car, that Betty
was the woman in Armando's life. Berta has her baby. Patricia reads
the letter of instructions. Betty decides to stay with Catalina when
she realizes how much trouble it will be for Catalina to find a new
assistant. She tells Catalina everything she did and everything that
happened. Catalina takes her shopping, buys her new clothes, gets
her bangs cut. Betty still feels uncomfortable, doesn't recognize
herself, still walks as if she were trying to disappear. Marcia
tells Margarita that Armando confessed he loves Betty. Nicolas
attends the board meeting but the lawyers insist on talking with
Betty. Nicolas tells Betty's mother all about the financial
manipulations and admits that Betty fell in love with Armando.
