TOP FIVE: B'wood break-ups of our times

Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur

Perhaps the most publicised break-up since Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Obeori, this one came as a shock to most people outside the industry. After all, the two had been seeing each other for the last three-odd years. Enough and more has been written about why and how it all happened. But soon enough Kareena was seeing Saif and if our sources are to be believed, Shahid is busy taking Vidya Balan around in a Toyota Innova .

Reena Datta and Aamir Khan

Just what went wrong between the two? No one may ever know. But those who have seen and have been close to the couple tell us that it was a very long and tedious affair, which involved regular trips to the marriage counsellor. Newspaper reports insist that the cracks had begun to develop even during their Oscar journey. Kiran and Aamir apparently met on the sets of Lagaan and nothing was ever the same again. Reena was last seen travelling in a Mumbai local train.

Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi

Once when a journalist asked Aishwarya Rai about her relationship with Vivek Oberoi (which was at its peak then) Ash apparently sang in a hushed whisper, "Que sera, sera; what will be, will be!" Then a Mumbai tabloid reported that the Bachchan parivaar was waiting for Ash at the gates of the Sarkar premiere for two hours! That was the beginning of the end, in public. Evidently the relationship was over much before that.

Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan

Married for quite some time and with two kids, the Saif-Amrita relationship could not have been stronger. Then Kal Ho Na Ho happened and of course the famous Hum Tum. Saif got his first solo hit in the latter and said ta-ta to Amrita. And grapevine tells us that he even withdrew ALL the money from their joint account just days before dropping the bombshell! Eeeeu… if it's true, its truly and positively cheap.

Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan

Karisma Kapur nee Kapoor was publicly declared as the Bachchan bahu at Amitabh Bachchan's 60th birthday. Then before we could say 'Karisma Kapoor-Bachchan' Rishi Kapoor announced to the media that it was all over. It seems mum Jaya Bachchan was not in favour and that was that. But Jaya, it seems, had to tread very carefully because her daughter Shweta was (and is) married to Karisma's father Randhir Kapoor's nephew Nikhil Nanda.

I disagree! Abhi and Karishna make an odd couple!😕 Plus, Abhishek never loved Karishma. It was sort of like an arranged marriage!
Aishwarya loves Abhishek and so does he. They are happy together, let them be!

I dont know if Ash is better for Abhishek or not, but the fact is that Abhishek was completely and head over heels in love with Karisma. It was NOT an arranged marraige. In fact they fell in love much before Abhishek entered the industry. I have heard several versions of why they broke up. Who knows what is true!

abhishek and karisma dated for long some years! how can it not be love?? she was dating him when he was a nobody...! maybe something went terribly wrong, who knows...thats one mystery i would like solved

That is definetly the top five i find the aamir and saif break ups pathetic because they left their wifes on the way to top after soo long i dont care whatever the reason when couples split up after so long together its like why and because of someone its stupid especially person responsible

Shahid and kareena was saddest it was soon after koffee with karan just as i was realising they seem good together
