He is not that shrewd or calculative, that's correct.Wo itna sochta nahi hai. But he knows, BB is a reality show and optics matter. Uske andar tameez inherent hai, wo kabi below the belt nahi jata but tab bhi saamne wale ko trigger kar deta hai,not always intentionally but still, it's a brilliant thing to do in a show like BB, doesn't say that he is calculative or sly, Kanika jaisi players sly hain, but Qazi is intelligent enough to understand ki kaha pe he can shine and which battles to choose. Instead of bitching whole day like other housemates, or whining, he tries to entertain the audience in his own way. He knows Riti is super jealous of him and goes berserk, use pata hai uska mute button bolte hi wo baukhla jati hai isliye wo baar baar aisa bolta hai lol, kal bhi, the insults were for Uditi mostly, and Qazi ko pent up gussa and frustration bhi hoga for nepodi, and usko uske abuses sunke gussa bhi aya hoga bahot, but kal ekdum perfect chance tha Riti pe fatne ka. He even got all those points out in captaincy vote out task jo Riti ne uss din use bole the, uss din toh Qazi didn't say a word to her, and it worked, whole Internet bashed her and sided with him lol. Kal usne wo points nikaale, which means he does remember things and doesn't let go that easily, it's not a bad thing in a show like BB, to understand this thing ki how to hog the right limelight. Baki he doesn't ever play victim card, he doesn't have to, uski personality hi itni endearing hai ki he knows people will like him automatically. I love Qazi and I genuinely want him to win like mere ghar ka banda ho. But aren't you two or these people who have this opinion giving him too much credit when it's not the case perhaps? I mean, I personally feel like yeh banda aisa hi hain. Dil ka saaf and acha, thoda ede-pagal types in the good/funny/harmless sense and just really organic. I highly doubt he's doing any of this in a calculated/learned manner, with all the knowledge of optics or how to play a game like BB. Because if he was, he'd be doing this in a more calculated manner where he's hardly making a fool of himself. Jaise woh jo stage pe kar raha tha while Rhiti's diss rap was on, that dance/antics is actually stupidity (but forgiven/overlooked in show like BB 'cause "fun"), some of his arguments during these intense fights/face-face confrontations are poorly formed. (Main baithe baithe yahan se bol deti hoon ke abbey yeh baat bol na instead of that etc) But his anger/outbursts are organic and that shows. Agar woh itna sab kuch soch samjh ke kar pata tha toh actually mein inn ko show within a month shut shop kar jaana padta. Is he intelligent? Yes. But to the degree where he can be shrewd and maximize/utilise everything to his benefit? Nope. Agar kar pata toh kya hi baat thi. He would have gotten far ahead in life by now.

Waise yeah, is MT even that important that BB/channel, host etc will go out of their way to keep her on the show to milk the rivalry arc so much? Matlab bhai rivalry arc bhi logon ko pasand aana chahiye na? Polarised views chahiye, organic dushamani chahiye, dono contenders mein kuch na kuch mettle hona chahiye. Yeh kaisa arc hain zabardasti ka jahan bas ek jal bhakku (insert choicest term) samne wale undisputed entertainer se insecurity ke chalte mari ja rahi hain. Of all the famous rivalry arcs of BB, each had a substantial audience backing them for their own reasons, however disputed.
