There was no analysis of the aftermath in her head about how Jeet once again protected her, stood up for her. Protected her honor once again and literally took care of her burnt hand.

Her main dialogue today- Main gussa hoon Jeet sir se kyunki papa unse gussa hain. Like what even?

No introspection and self reflection whatsoever.

Haan Saumya is acting as if Anoop is Jagat Papa or he has kabhi showed tenderness or love/ respect towards Jeet.

why exactly is Jeet supposed to understand Anoops feelings? I just don't get it.

Again I'm not blaming Saumya the character but blaming the writing that the writers wrote for Saumya today.

obviously, the channel wants to inculcate masala..college scenes are observed for maximum 2-3 episodes and family episodes like this recent shaadi track too so longer and are shown more in the episodes ..

Yaar I don't think Jeet bolega sorry. Or even if he does it will be super perfunctory. So it won't count.

Coz there was a BTS a couple of days ago that showed clearly that Jeet is ignoring Saumya while she's trying to talk to him. So this ladai will last.

Agar sorry bol deta well meaning waala toh ladai chalti nai.

I totally hear you that the show has this pattern of vilifying the leads over and over again. Kick them down hard and bad when they are already down.

Bahut ho gaya yaar. And when they brought in Jeet initially to this neighborhood he mentioned woh Saxenas se badla lene aaya hai.

Bechara Mathurs ke mamle mein aisa fasa- that he's being tortured not just by Saxenas but by Mathurs as well.

So done with today's nonsense.

Exactly! Jeet's literally between a rock and a hard place, and the worst part is that Saumya is contributing to one of those hard places. She has been through things, she's still working through them, and has awful parents who think helping her means getting her married.

And because she's been so afraid of the truth breaking apart the family (courtesy Madhu) and her dad not believing her when he finds out (courtesy Roop), now that she's seen both those things turn out not true, she has idealized her father's support to an extent that it's just andha vishwaas. You can hold a place for your father's pain while simultaneously keeping room for other people's dignity.

She's doing just one of those because she's operating on a 'I need to make sure I never let my father be in any pain of any sort because I'm indebted for his support' and disregarding other things, like her own introspection of the situation and Jeet's dignity and right to be mad at her father (Anoop is a literal stranger to Jeet and he has every right to be angry at this man for belittling him, and yet, he's been pretty tolerant so far).

Totally! I think you pointed this out a a few days ago/ the lack of POVs that they are giving Saumyas character (our FL for crying out loud) is just baffling!

Just because she's a SA survivor doesn't mean she doesn't have a head that can think!

Aaj voice overs diye woh bhi nonsensical Bilkul. I get why she's idolizing her dad. I get it.
im a girl myself. For girls it's super common to make their dad into this hero figure who can do no wrong. It's also like it's ok if I criticize my dad but my better half better not.

But with Saumya it's ok to do that but to not reflect on other happenings in her life (hello, how Jeet stood up for you today and that spiel he gave in your honor)- how do you not spend even a microsecond on that is just nerve wracking.

Jeet sir ka deo toh Achche se pehchaan liya- but what about his baatein? Unpe bhi thoda gaur farmaiye.

I doubt it's Star Plus (or maybe???) but the flip-flopping writing actually fits with the show's writing since the beginning. They're run through tracks quick and slowed it down by introducing drama that involves mentally beating down the protagonists.

The lack of Saumya's POV irked me so much, and today, it irked me even more that there was one because it wasn't hers, really. It was her POV, of course, but it was an internal reaction to her parents' conversation, not her own feelings or what she's going through.

In fact, Krish pointed it out today. Literally spelled it out for her that she's refusing to see what she feels or thinks.

Par Saumya madam is too traumatized to even think about herself until Anoop and Madhu stop with their stupid "woe is us" jaap. Arre beti ke saath bure hua and they're like, "Oh! The pain we're going through." Beti ka toh socho!

I think so too. The slow down and mess they made since the Roop Revelation is very apparent. A week has maybe 1-2 nice episodes Baaki Sab is usually Gud Gobar.

Even the 5 days a week thing hasn't helped them in writing decent content rot.
